The things being pushed in congress can only be interpreted a few ways, either A) it represents a position of strength because they no longer need to worry about the consent of the people, or B) its a mad dash to secure power taken out of pure desperation because the people are resisting the takeover. C) its a distraction from something else.
I tend to believe its B and that we the people should strike while the iron is hot before the deepstate has opportunity to reconsolidate its power.

I find it unlikely, any species that could develop the ability to traverse space fast enough for it to matter and travel here would have to be developed enough that genocide probably isnt their primary motivation. The more serious threat imo would be alien disease, the martian flu would probably wipe out humanity because we'd have no resistance, the same could be true of our diseases effecting aliens, assuming of course the aliens dont have advanced medical technology that makes the whole issue moot.

Could be people there really do like him that much, he has that same alpha male strength and confidence along with being unapologetic in his convictions, putin has a lot of the same qualities that makes Trump so popular.
