Don’t forget the academics and government workers. I.e., all of the so-called “experts” telling us we need to shut it down while they sit in the ivory tower and collect their paycheck.

Don’t underestimate how retarded Baltimore voters are. The former mayor who stole gift cards meant to buy things for needy kids nearly got elected again.

But did you get your permission slip from CNN telling you that it was ok to read wikileaks yourself?

Unfortunately, this is probably not US taxpayer funded, so it won't make Rand Paul's annual list of moronic wasteful "scientific studies" of obvious things.

Actually, it is probably fortunate that it wasn't US taxpayer funded. Saved a few bucks.

Go read up on how Rutherford b Hayes got elected. Then come back with a smile on your face.

Or, to steal one of my favorite zero hedge comments that I saw: lmao at the doomers!

But the legislature holds the power to send electors. No audit, no electors. Together with pa, would be enough to deny 270 to hidin.

Hand recount. "sharpie-gate" becomes the "hanging chad" of this generation.

Bonus fireworks if it drags out past December 3rd, as there is seemingly no clarity in state law for additional extensions of canvass. https://law.justia.com/codes/arizona/2019/title-16/section-16-648/

Yes, in that results aren't certified and/or certified on time.

Here are the dates: https://ballotpedia.org/Election_results_certification_dates,_2020 and some of them are coming up quick. GA 11/20. PA 11/23. MI 11/23.
Eventually precipitates STATE constitutional/legislative questions, uncertainties, etc. They don't actually flip the EV's to Trump, but rather Biden is denied enough to get to 270 with those states. Election goes to House. 4 more years.

Question - can the legislatures just decline to send any electors, citing a corrupt election? Thereby punting it to the house?

Don’t even have to stop all trucks, just the ones that deliver organic soy milk. Blue city society will crumble on its own without the soy lattes.

As it shows now, I think R's are at about 215 in House if results hold. Many of the toss-ups seem to be breaking towards the Rs.
https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2020-us-election-results/house Would need to get 3 of the remaining (AZ-6, UT-4, CA-25, or one of the NY ones that still look to be competitive with a decent % outstanding).

Bit of a selloff over past couple weeks, so we were probably primed for a bounce in stocks. Couple things in play - market is usually happy with gridlock and we appear to have gotten it. Regardless of presidency, Congress appears to be split, so major policy changes are less likely. "Blue wave" did not materialize to trigger the "reflation" trade (i.e. Dems printing money), so gold and silver getting hit a bit today, Treasury yields getting whacked too.

No, they have not been “packing” them. They have been appointing conservatives. Big difference.

12th amendment has it all. Basically, they can vote for any of the top 3 electoral college vote getters. Separate vote for VP. Could in theory get Biden-Pence or Trump-Harris! They are not necessarily bound to vote for whoever won the state's electoral college votes.

It would be a circus, no doubt.
