There's another free speech site I frequent and it's a pretty even split on political parties. One dude already got into an argument with me and he was defending her sending covid cases into the nursing homes.

He brought up what we all warned would happen at the beginning of this. His excuse for claiming Whitmer isn't guilty is because the CDC RECOMMENDED covid patients be sent into the nursing homes. These five governors only have to point out the CDC said to do something and suddenly it muddies the waters of who is responsible. All the governors have to do is use the BS line "I was just following orders/recommendations! It's not my fault if 45 other governors realized it was a bad idea, I HAD to do it! Don't you see?"

I was a Democrat for most of my life until 2018 (30 years old). It's mentally exhausting even pretending to follow their crap just to find holes in their reasoning. It poisoned my life so much I just feel physically drained when I think about their thought processes and stances now. Even this new meme of "Super Straight" just makes my bones hurt.

I'm female and my first instinct is pure rage at being told to cover my face in shame like a Muslim woman with little to no rights. The left mocks the right because of the comparison, but it's a very real one to me. I can't really use it though because it's "Islamophobia."

But yes, I will be saving your links and sharing where I can.

This was my fear as well as soon as I heard the "experimental" part being focused on. As soon as one more year goes by or something, they'll roll out mandatory vaccines across the board if they don't get it immediately. We need to make sure to fight with an airtight case and plan for the future.

After all the crap the new head of my university has put students through this last year, I almost hope he tries to require this so I can sue his pants off... I won't lie about that.

Good, I was afraid they'd grill me on what my religion is, the rules, how it works, and which ones explicitly forbid it. The list is about four deep, but I was afraid they'd try dismissing some of them because others didn't view them as "good enough." Thank you for this clarification.

One of the core beliefs in my religion is that I'm not allowed to self-harm. The vaccine is so potentially harmful, I'm legit not allowed to take it. I'm also not allowed to wear a mask if we're honest about the negative health impacts they have on the wearer, but that's another topic.

Red_Turtle 2 points ago +2 / -0

Has he tried the religious exemption route? I've heard some people have luck with that, but I'm not sure how much people will "tolerate" that for long. A few stories on here said they didn't want the vaccine, felt forced, and took the gamble and asked about religious exemption and got it. Might want to try that. Nobody should have to use that line, but for now it seems to work.

I'm trying to keep tabs on success rates of that strategy because it's what mine is.

I have no doubt Whitmer is going to try to mandate the vaccine through the health department like she is with everything else or threaten to yank operating licenses if businesses don't require it of their employees. I won't take it.

Did the $1,400 actually go through though? Last I heard they were still debating on it even though some news outlets claimed it already passed.

1
Red_Turtle 1 point ago +2 / -1

I think so, yes. South Dakota is working on the same if they haven't already passed it.

They're not only banning mask mandates for any level of government, but also for businesses and the like. So it'd be illegal for CostCo to require them to enter the building.

This is the main reason why people talk about culture problems with these areas. I can almost guarantee you that this lady's "family" is the norm for the area. Same with the parenting "involvement" (which is to say none). And also with the fact a lot of these areas have a culture where kids don't WANT an education or to do well in school because it's seen as a "white thing" to do and they bully each other if a kid actually TRIES in class.

It's not an issue of retardation, it's an issue that they don't value education and/or passable parenting the same as other areas.

Ok so setting aside the obvious public school bashing...

The comments from his mother disgust me. All it is is excuse after excuse and how it's ALL the school's fault. I'm sorry, but HOW is it not even a bit her fault or her son? She said she saw he was getting failing grades but being passed onto harder classes and she "ASSUMED" it was fine. Never assume anything in life. If it doesn't make sense, ask somebody. Dial a phone number for the school and ask during a lunch break or something.

Being late or absent 272 times and she goes on to call him a "good kid"? How does THAT make sense?

Three kids and three jobs, that's the excuse. She figured being a parent wasn't as important as basically anything else and couldn't figure out by the end of year one of all this that there was a problem with one of her kids? It took the end of the fourth year and no diploma to wake her up to the fact her kid needed parenting?

And to find out half the school is in the same or similar situation? This isn't JUST about a shitty school. This is also about an area with shitty parents. And yes, I did catch the single mom bit. There needs to be a serious culture rework and people need to ADMIT there's a problem with this culture in order to fix things going forward. Three kids is a challenge for two parents, but doing it single mom style and blaming everyone ELSE when the weakest family style fails? That's just a failure of an adult at that point. No wonder why the son failed.

RNC could make some sort of announcement saying they won't give funds or support to Republican politicians for refusing to stand against the tyrannical rule of these Dem governors. So much of what the governors did is unconstitutional, so the legislatures refusing to stop it should at the least have their party affiliation stripped seeing as they're accessories to the illegal activity as far as I see it.

I don't know basically anything about how the party handles politicians, but I feel like they have SOMETHING they could do against politicians that refuse to do their duty. How can NOTHING happen to that Speaker who REFUSES to hear articles of impeachment?

I feel like I'm going to be using your mantra a lot. I like that "calmblueocean" thing. lol It gave me a smile.

That and the attention never goes to looking at the numbers of elderly dead from these states, adding them together, and then subtracting that from the inflated figure on the CDC website for dead with covid.

If people did that, then they'd see how much of a scam everything is. If the nursing home deaths thing gets out, it could completely destroy the covid narrative.

Cuomo will be thrown under the bus with sexual assault allegations and enough of a distraction will be made to avoid showing the normies that lockdowns never should have happened and should be ended today.

I "converted" or whatever somebody would call it from being a Dem a few years ago. I was always a little bit not quite like the others in some viewpoints, but refused to consider I wasn't one because the propaganda and brainwashing from my mom was so thorough growing up. So I consciously "converted" in about 2018 at the age of 30.

Idk if it's still part of the leftovers of being a Dem or if the situation really is that bad, but these lockdowns, mask mandates, and the BS that Whitmer is getting away with just drives me into a rage every time I read an article about her. I am completely unable to remain calm in any conversation with somebody who defends her or her policies. The amount of anger and hate I have for her after destroying all the progress I made in my life in the 2 years just before lockdown (it was quite a bit for me, they were the best years of my life) is beyond words.

I'm in Michigan, so I'm hit by her policies more than I am affected by Cuomo's actions. All of the Senior Slayer Five should rot in federal prison for the rest of their lives, at best.

I think I'd add to the "'risk' of covid" part with a mention that there will be differences in what is viewed as "responsible" behavior as well. Not everybody agrees that the distancing and mask measures even do something. There will be difference in opinion there too because of that.

One person can see forcing a mask on a five-year-old as responsible while another views it as child psychological abuse.

Doxxing potential is too great even if only first name is shown. The bottom two messages are from OP and top one is the neighbor. There's no reason to risk OP's safety or career or anything else by accidentally or intentionally posting personal identifying information. Cancel culture is a major threat.

2
Red_Turtle 2 points ago +2 / -0

Idk if I'm able to see how you read it that way. The first comment is the lefty and the following two are OP.

It reads to me like the lefty is saying that the only way one can be responsible is if somebody continues following all these mandates even when the government no longer requires it. If somebody stops, then they're irresponsible. And further is arguing that without the mandates people will almost instantly stop following the mandates, which is the reason the mandates must be there, is to force compliance with what that particular lefty views as "responsible" behavior. The lefty is saying that government must play nanny state because people will be "irresponsible" unless forced to comply.

The hole in the lefty logic is that they're taking it as a given that these mandates are responsible behavior to begin with. Second hole is thinking the government has any business dictating what is responsible and forcing us to comply because of the "risk" of people not conforming.

This is what has been on my mind. I wanted to apply to a Texas university and finish my degree, but ALL universities are turbo blue, so they'll all still require masks until those stupid things are outright banned.

I guarantee they'll put in minimum effort and use some BS excuse of "Better safe than sorry!" Man it's aggravating.

2
Red_Turtle 2 points ago +2 / -0

The governor was pressured by the big cities who all had the mandate from early on. They were complaining about non-city people coming in without masks and spreading the virus, so they wanted the whole state to obey the cities.

It's my understanding that most of the rural areas ignored the mandate anyway and cities kept doing their thing. This move to remove the state mandate doesn't seem like it'll change all that much because it's not the South Dakota BAN on masks in general. SD is working on legislation banning businesses etc from requiring masks even, not just preventing counties from deciding for themselves. It's a law that shouldn't HAVE to be made since the mandates are illegal to begin with, but whatever gets it through the leftists head that they can't force us to do these things is good in my book.

Red_Turtle 4 points ago +4 / -0

Those goalposts have been moved to that spot since the beginning. It's how the libtards successfully got the mandates in place and how the Florida judges have gotten away with upholding mandates; They compare breathing without a mask to be the same as smoking cigarettes in public. They claim since it's harmful to the public health (breathing is not and it's a natural function of being alive) they can in fact force people to wear masks.

The lie that just breathing near somebody else is harming them or some form of harm is what allowed the mandates from state governments and health departments since the beginning. This is why so many of us look into the mask science to disprove their BS that masks do anything (they don't). The left wasn't interested in seeing the fact the mandates are a violation of our rights (they don't care), so that's why people on the right are reduced to disproving the mask hoax.

These judges and politicians all need to be removed.

Red_Turtle 6 points ago +6 / -0

This needed to happen so bad. The people complaining about local governments like the counties not being able to decide for themselves are morons. The mandates themselves are illegal. It shouldn't HAVE to be spelled out that nobody can mandate masks, but apparently it needs to be. Corrupt courts won't put a stop to it, so good for the legislature for taking steps to protect people's rights.

I'm hoping this spreads to more areas, but we have states still refusing to reopen even so it likely won't. Maybe Florida will adopt this? Maybe? I was looking at moving there for fall semester to get my education going again except all the major cities and colleges require masks still. SD is too cold for me (I grew up on the border of MN and SD) but I might have to find a way to transfer anyway. Nobody else is going to reopen. I'm 33 and can't just sit around letting my life be wasted by a government that tells me it's "for my own good."

Yeah but those resistances are generally developed before even becoming pregnant and are passed on after and continued through breast milk. Who tf thinks it's a good idea to form the immune response DURING pregnancy?

Even with that in mind, I wouldn't vaccinate before trying to get pregnant either because of the concerns about potential sterilization with these new vaccines. But if we use their logic, if the mother is already pregnant, it should be considered "too late" and instead push for vaccination before pregnancy.

People are just... I don't have words anymore.

4
Red_Turtle 4 points ago +4 / -0

Why the hell are ANY pregnant women getting vaccinated at all?

They don't and can't test ANY vaccine on pregnant women because of ethics, so they don't even know if any of the other vaccines are safe for pregnancy either. Why would anybody risk this RUSHED one?

I just keep thinking of thalidomide. Maybe people don't know enough to not trust the medical community while pregnant. Idk.

It's like "science" is the new religion and doctors are the priests. People will blindly do as they're told and they think they're better than theistic religious people because of it. Explains the mask cultist behavior. Even though all logic contradicts what they're told about masks, they still wear them because the doctors permitted to speak support them.
