I see no reason to start this far into my life.

Think about it. ""c" can sound like an "s" or a "k" so there might be a letter to distinguish between them. "ou" sounds different depending on the word, so perhaps multiple letters for each. Letters can be used to phonetically represent the sounds the language comprises and the 26 letter Latin alphabet takes a lot of shortcuts.

We use transliteration to write Arabic, Cyrillic and Mandarin words (especially names such as Kadaffi, Putin or Xi). While Putin and Xi have standardized, I've seen at least four variations of Kadaffi, so having a letter to represent distinct phonemes would be helpful, especially in situations such as that.

Sorry for the lexture but I've not had coffee yet....

Guns, drugs and soft drinks.... Booze (I guess. It's still a fifth, regardless of what it says on the bottle.)

Anything else?

Sorry but you are missing the point of my sarcasm in that another famous organization used similar initials.

Thanks for articulating exactly what I feel.

Pedes! Separate what you see from what you are told you are seeing! Critical thinking is the primary differentiator between us and the morons. Don't get sucked in by it all.

BTW, great to see someone using the word "imbecile".

You're correct in that no one wants to think this is possible. Patrick, in the video, goes way out of his way to note that this is AMI and Dell's "official" explanation and that's what he running with. I understand his position in needing to protect his sources and information network. It seems to me, however, he's not buying it either. Whether this is a legitimate problem or just a complete CF in which nobody (and I mean NOBODY) caught this for 2-3 years is open to question, but I find it difficult to believe that it slipped through so many layers of scrutiny for so long.

Absolutely the first time I realized this meme was of a woman....

McLuhan was mocked back in the day for his dire predictions about TV.

Torns out he was 100% correct, but had the wrong medium. Turns out he was actually taking about the internet.

How silly! He's obviously more than 6 feet away from the camera!
