My recent take that I like has been, you don't have to think race is the issue when police militarization and less focus on community policing in favor of being revenue machines is the issue. When a black persons only interactions with cops are when they are possibly in trouble I can see how easy it would be to say it's cuz I'm black but hell for the same reasons that's why I comply with everything a cop says and fight after in the court if I'm wrong. Obviously harder for poor of any race to do such a thing.

Back when those republicans wherever were arrested for ballot harvesting they loved to say see only republicans do this. I would just point out that California literally legalized ballot harvesting between 2016 and 2018 and flipped orange county somehow.
