They had a raffle for tickets, $1 entry fee for a group of up to six people. I didn’t win one though. I believe it’s actually on 3 July. First time they will have had fireworks there in a while (there are concerns about dry trees but we have had constant rain the last week or so, with ridiculous hail)

My only regret is not winning a ticket to go to the fourth celebration with the president.

It’s amazing how good just about any food tastes once you start rationing it; except MREs, they always suck.

Wastelanders added NPCs, and a lot of bugs have been fixed. (Annoyingly a lot have also been added, I think they are finally learning how much the modding community has been keeping their games running)

The worst part about Wastelanders for me is that as a level 100 person it only took like 20 hours to finish all the new content except for the grinding for new currency (which I didn’t really need because I already had really good gear)

Have you tried FO76 after the Wastelanders update? It’s still got a lot of issues but it’s much better than it was at release.

I work in an inpatient mental health VA facility and we get a good amount of homeless patients. Many of them will not go into the programs we have to help them.

Part of this is because some don’t want to follow the rules and obligations public housing brings (no drug use is a big concern here, but also losing some of their income to go towards housing costs and other issues. Many homeless Veterans actually get a monthly tax free income from service connected disability, and having to use some of that to pay for public housing is not always desired)

There are also a lot of homeless people who live this lifestyle because it works for them and it’s what they want to do.

Social workers won’t be able to fix the fact that many homeless people want to stay homeless, even if access to affordable public housing is available.

This is an unfortunate reality that a lot of well meaning people don’t understand.

As a South Dakota resident I say, good luck with that.

I’ve seen a US soldier covered head to toe in bruises because his wife was physically abusive and he wouldn’t defend himself against her.

In general I believe men shouldn’t hit women, but there are certainly exceptions.
