Assuming you're correct on El Paso, then this shouldn't be surprising at all. El Paso is home to Fort Bliss, which is a HUGE base and has plenty of military equipment stationed at it. Although it is a bit odd for them to roll through a truck stop like that, given the lack of other people posting the same thing and being equally surprised is telling. More than likely it was just the Army Guard guys finishing up their training and returning to base. I initially thought it was odd that the guy was walking ahead of the vehicles, then I remembered that visibility in those things is terrible, so he's probably just walking as a spotter to makes sure they don't hit anything.

I would encourage you to do so. If you're afraid you're going to have to fight your countrymen in the Air Natl Guard, that likelihood is extremely low. Army Natl Guard does the ground stuff, not the Air. Also, the chances of the military being engaged on US soil is extremely rare as well (I'd guess less than 1% chance under "worst" case scenarios). Also consider this: Even if you start the process right now, you're likeley not gonna go to basic training for a few months. After that, you have to wait for a spot for your job training, and training for that will take anywhere from a couple months to 1-2 years (depending on what job you sign up for). THEN you have to go back to your unit for your upgrade training so that you're actually fully trained and locked/loaded and ready to go and that could take ANOTHER few months to a year. So by this point, you're already 2-3 years into a new administration, and half or 3/4 the way through your enlistment. If shit is super bad at that point, ride out the last year or two, then bid farewell, take your college money and enjoy the rest of your life, noone will shame you for that. As a new member of the ANG, you have LOTS of opportunities, especially networking and meeting new people. So I would encourage you to do so. But that's just my $0.02.

Lots of info missing about this. When was it taken? Where? Which truck stop? How far away is the closest army base? How far away is the closest National Guard base (was it a Natl Guard training weekend?). I'll admit, it's a bit weird to see them going through a truck stop like that, but not impossible.

Reminds me of the old saying, "Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning, sailor's take warning."

OR.... Twitter admins unfollowed POTUS on Pence's behalf.... they know they are sowing discord, this is just another seed. (I'm just speculating, I don't know for certain)

Unfortunately, that seems kinda evident once they got in. There was a moment of "Ok, we're in.... now what?"

No debate? Dafuq am I watching? Looks like opposing members of congress talking back and forth and arguing. Are you confused what a "debate" is?

Notice the word games they're playing... these assholes are lying straight to everyone's faces and nobody's even noticing... "all ballots were counted and certified"... Yeah, you're right, all ballots WERE counted and certified. But you're conveniently leaving out that not every ballot represents one person actually voting per your own (and Federal) constitution.... Hell does not burn hot enough for these people.

Just a hunch, I could be completely wrong on this, but.... I think Pence will reject the votes from contested states as opposed to counting them for Trump (like they damn should be damn it, but that's another rant), resulting in neither Trump nor Pedo-Joe having the necessary 270. Why do I think this? Because Trump KNOWS what hangs in the balance. Trump wants justice, not bloodshed. He knows FULL WELL that people are just itching to pick a fight on his behalf, and he knows whether people trust him or hate him, he's their President either way, and he has an obligation to do what's best for them, even if it costs him.

I think he knows that moving it into a contested election, and forcing the states to vote (I'm vague on the details here, hopefully you get what I'm saying), will be the most non-violent way to get him officially sworn in for another 4 years.

If Pence were to accept only the Trump votes from the contested states, than it would give the "illegitimate President" card to all his enemies on a golden platter. But if all the states had to vote, with each state having only one vote, then it lets the election process play out to the maximum extent possible, and reduces all the blame being placed on one person (I like to call this "responsibility laundering").

Like I said... just a hunch, and I could be completely wrong, but I'm inclined to think that, although Jan 6 will be the beginning of something great, we may not have an "official" result for another couple weeks.

I pointed this out to my wife a while back, she's never let me forget what I've done to her since then. haha

I have a friend who plays in another group with an SJW. He says that she has single handedly ruined the entire campaign, and it's pretty much died off cause of lack of interest. Those people ruin everything they touch.

Maybe if Congress spent more time writing their own fucking legislation instead of letting someone else write it, they would be more familiar with this shit!

No argument there. If I had to guess, I'd say either the election is throwing some major wrenches in the gears, so he has to deal with that on top of his original plan, OR he's had to speed up the timeline due to how things are/have been playing out, and that's a LOT to have to cram into such a short time line. Either way, I'm anxious to see how it plays out.

One thing to remember when killing a hydra, is that you have to kill ALL the heads at ONCE. If you leave even one, then the whole thing comes back to life, and stronger than before. I get the impression that's what they're doing here, something that dates back 4-5 decades, getting ready to strike and kill something that has been gathering strength for YEARS, and not just the last 4. The more I see these drip drips of info, the more I'm becoming convinced that Trump to save the US, but on many more levels than most of us are even aware of.

Now I'm agreeing with HER? WTF is going on with this timeline????

Well, his EO is 13848, and when you add that up, it equals 24..... Which is probably just a crazy coincidence, but if Trump pulls something Christmas Eve....

Thank you for the clarification, I clicked away from the twitter post you were talking about, then tried to find it again and couldn't, thought I'd lost my mind for a second.

They tried this shit in 2013. Check out the Firearms Research published to National Academies Press. It pretty much says "There's no federal venue to reliably track gun violence, only private independent research, and that's all biased, so it's unreliable, so no reliable information exists with which to curb firearm violence." They may do another study, but it'll probably amount to the same things since nothing's changed since then.

Sounds like everyone needs to start a country wide pokemon go excursion to Washington D.C. on Jan 6th. I'll bet there'll be some event going on during that time, probably include special raids and exclusive pokemon, surely Discord wouldn't stop yet ANOTHER pokemon go group from forming. Just saying....

Posting this response because you're right. The lines we'll need to cross are there for good reason. Because we are a society made of rules, written and unwritten, and those rules keep us from tearing each other apart like feral animals. Those lines can only be crossed when there are no other options, because the cost of crossing those lines is very high and have long term impacts, and have no guaranteed success, each line crossed is a gamble, so the cost must be weighed and must almost always be the last resort.

Yeah, Nelson even has an airport named after him in McCook Nebraska, which is 5 hours southwest of Omaha. Baffles my mind.
