I know dozens of people who have tested positive for covid. Out of everyone, my brother and my mom who both tested positive and were sick at the same time had the worst symptoms. Fever, chills, lethargic, headache, etc. That said, both of them insist it wasn't nearly as bad as sicknesses they've had in the past.The rest of the people I know had minor cold symptoms for a day or two before feeling 100% again.
I personally think covid = the flu/common cold that has been umbrellaed under PCR tests. I don't really think there's anything unique to covid. Even if that's true, it's impossible to know which cases are actually covid given how inaccurate PCR tests are. But yeah, the only nightmare we're experiencing is the government using this as an excuse to implement fascist policies that they are obviously trying to make permanent.
Dunno how much merit there is to this but I was watching a documentary that explained that after the polio vaccine, we saw new diseases that were veryyyyy similar to polio, but they were given a new name. So while polio cases declined, a similar disease under different names emerged.

So how it works where i work is psych patients cant be searched by the police unless we request it because of some new law (though i’m unsure of what other changes the police must follow, but this was a big one). This includes anyone with suicidal ideations, is homicidal, may be high on drugs, etc. Anyone who is willing to hurt themselves is automatically considered dangerous because it’s common for suicidal people to become homicidal.
We’ve always had the reassurance that the police already searched the patient by the time they’re in the back of the ambulance where we can then focus on their health. This puts us at risk because situations can become heated or happen quickly and if the patient ends up with you in the back of an ambulance without being searched and actually has a weapon, they could easily harm us. We can be 99% proactive on ensuring the police search the patient, but the 1% of times where the situation is high-stress and happens so fast that we don’t think to request it could end up getting someone killed.
