Once again the dems are foiled by an Electoral College style system where most of their delegation all come from the same high population states thus balancing that power with less populated regions.

And yeah some West Coast fires right now are Arson. I believe 8 people are currently arrested for Arson in Oregon.
As a teen I started a huge field fire mowing with a John Deere. Probably a spark from the mower hittig a rock. Totally unintentional and the conditions were fairly wet early Summer. I didn't even know I set the fire until I reached the end of the field about 10 minutes later and turned. Neighbors had already ran out with shovels and called rural fire fighters. It was quite an adrenaline producing experience, sure made me respect fire and the speed it can move. Best thing was I did not have to mow half the field.
Well this particular fire was allowed to burn for ~3 weeks and they were going to let the rain take care of it (it was small, slow moving, and maybe natural causes). Certainly not California style forest management - Oregon and Nevada have better practices than those weirdos in charge of the Golden State.
No doubt some of the fires are arson (the one that destroyed my ex-wife's town), this one was most likely not, it started sometime mid-August in a very remote area. My wife and I were hiking Mary's Peak days before the massive windstorm caused many of these fires to spread rapidly and saw the smoke plume from this particular fire 60+ miles due East across the valley. It was a "normal" Oregon wildfire that would never have reached a populated area until the wind kicked it up.
Very tragic story for that family. They should have all left the night before and returned for belongings the next morning with the trailer.

This reminds me of a funny event in 2017. I was waiting for my lunch order at a restaurant browsing on my phone. I had one of the Meme pics of Trump as Emperor as the background. This woman waiting next to me, loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear, saw the image and says "Fuck! A Trump supporter."
I glance over at her, make a point of looking her up and down (she was actually pretty cute), and reply just as loud "No thanks, you are not my type.". Then returned my attention to my phone.
Other people there were obviously trying hard to suppress laughing out loud.
