In time of monarchy, blacks in Poland had it really good. There weren't much of them to begin with, but if they were here they were at royal courts as light-duty servants. Almost all of the times they had it better than ordinary peasant in the fields.
They were seen as unique, and special - Poland being always extremely white and never having any colonies etc and having little experience with darker shade of skin folk (maybe muslims, but they aren't that dark), dark skinned people were seen as exotic.
Some of them after being set free from servitude - which was a luxury job in comparison to peasants life - even achieved some higher social status, like local officials.
And Polish fared very well against Soviets on their own, winning the Polish-Soviet war of 1919, postponing westward communist expansion by two decades. No one fucking wanted Germanys "help" because it wasn't needed.
