Correct me if i'm wrong, but if the Insurrection Act is invoked (did Lincoln invoke it) doesnt that make the Congress and Senate null and void? also, any military members no matter how high up they were if they did not follow the President's orders, would be seen as committing treason, sedition. Hence why the President is called Commander in Chief, he is charge of the military.

With all due respect to Guliani, he is not the President. Trump and only he alone can give the order to invoke the Insurrection Act. And at that time, anybody that doesnt follow orders is commiting sedition and treason.

I think Trump has been getting bad intel, advice from his inner circle, so someone from the outside such as Lindell, to lay it on him straight, such as invoking the Insurrection Act, is definitely a good thing.

in the future, other Romney's pop up, claiming to be for the people, get elected then stab them in the back.

i think cleaning out the republican party us a pipe dream. Trump was in office for four years and by the end of it, 10 republicans voted to impeach him.

Also Trump trying third party was different back then. Having someone that was President starting a third party is something completely different.

geographically arent they in the same part of the US, so why do they meet up in superbowls?

exactly. but having said that, if he was republican, he would have been demonized by the media.

now that i can understand why he didnt get re-elected. republican voters are by and large for law and order. so Ford pardoning Nixon, who the majority of Republicans would have thought by the constant negative coverage (sound familiar?) would have turned on Ford, not got out in droves to vote for him, this giving Carter the win.

other than he seemed like a pretty decent man to me.

okay, no need to be fucking rude about it, i wasnt alive back then!!!!

i understand that, but how and why would people have negative inclinations towards Ford for what Nixon did?

1
RemoteBus 1 point ago +1 / -0

but at the time wasnt Gerald Ford a typical old nice guy that would resonate with voters?
