I was thinking the same. At the pace we're going, maybe closer to 10.

You know, I was thinking that the CoVid surge here in Michigan didn't make sense. Numbers were going down by mid-winter. With the vaccine program rolling out and accelerating, the number of CoVid cases should have continued downward. Think about it. With some people still getting CoVid, but with more and more people getting vaccinated, you're essentially burning the fuse at both ends. That should accelerate the pace toward herd immunity. But instead, it appears that CoVid rates are increasing, and at the same pace as vaccinations.

I remember during the Ferguson riots years back, one black mother did just that. She caught her son taking part in the riots, gave him a good verbal dressing down right in front of everybody (which was caught either by a media camera, and/or posted on social media) and dragged his ass out of there. But that's the problem. She was the one exception. I'm betting most black parents were excited when their kids came home with a looted TV, or a case of beer.

That was a big part of the problem. There was this belief that "why should we worry about subprime loans". After all, if they default, just sell the house, and those funds will pay off the loan. Somehow, the possibility that home values could fall never dawned on them. Then, when thousands of borrowers very quickly found themselves underwater on their loans, that turned out to be a rude awakening.

For the most part, a free market capitalist system is self regulating. Set your prices too high, a competitor will step in to undercut you. Reduce the quality of your product or service, again, a competitor will come along to offer something better. These natural forces act to keep the market in check. Some regulation is necessary, but I believe only to serve these three purposes: 1) Prevent parties to a transaction from committing fraud. 2) Prevent business (or individuals) from producing and/or selling products that cause harm (ex. excess pollution, unsafe products and foods, etc.). 3) Limiting monopolies. Beyond those three things, regulations that seek to "level the playing field", or that chose winners and losers in the market, tend to do more harm than good.

It's not that nobody cares. The problem is we have a dishonest media, which keeps repeating that "there is no evidence of election fraud". Or when it's forced to mention the fraud, labels it as "misinformation". As long as the majority gets their information from the MSM and Social Media, it's going to hard to get them to realize that there was fraud.

I try to make an analogy to people who don't own guns, on how current gun control works. Imagine trying to stop drunk driving by banning cars with chrome wheels, spoilers and hood scoops. Only allow the sales of cars with 2 seats, and limit gas tanks to 5 gallons (you know, so drunks can't drive too far and kill too many people). Yet, when a drunk does plow into the side of a minivan, and kills an entire family, you just give them a ticket and nominal fine.

I would hardly define the money he received as "earnings". Earnings are something you work for, compensation for labor provided, or products delivered. The vast majority of what he got was given to him just because his last name is "Biden".

Maybe it's because there are so few true conservatives in politics, at least at the national level. Maybe true conservatives are leading productive, meaningful lives. You know, running businesses, raising families. Thus, in order to fill political seats, you almost have to go to RINO's and sucks.

Makes you wonder just how many Democrat party wins are actually legitimate? Not just in 2020, but going back years. Think about it. All those democrat run shitholes: Detroit, Philly, Baltimore, Chicago, etc. Run by Democrats, and nothing but Democrats for decades. You would think that after years of Democrat failure, the voters would think, "Hey, maybe I should try voting for a Republican for once", and give them a chance. Or Green Party, or Independent. Maybe the fix has been in place there for generations, and 2020 was the year they took it national.

"Reddit is learning the problem with purity tests is they eventually take out those who began the test"

And that's the problem with censorship in general. It generally becomes more and more restrictive. If you're cool with censorship, just because it's not your voice, ideas or activities that are blocked or banned, sooner or later the range of what's allowed will become so tight and restrictive that they WILL get to you. Despite the left's constant calls for inclusiveness, their love of hive-minded thought eventually leads to the rejection of anything that differs from them in the slightest.

Well, to be fair, not all liberals are closed-minded. I good friend of mind used to be a typical NPR listening liberal. But then she started checking out sources such as Newsman, Prager U and others, and she's now swung over the the conservative side. So, keep dispensing those red pills. You'll eventually find someone they work on.

But that's exactly the problem with liberals (and their platforms). They don't want their minds to be changed. They don't want to hear the truth. They prefer to live in a bubble where all they hear is their ideas, their ideals, and their "truths". They often accuse us of being closed-minded, but in reality, they're the ones who's minds are closed.

Is it any coincidence that the worst outbreaks are currently occurring in mostly democratic strongholds?

2
RentedMule 2 points ago +2 / -0

True, anyone can run for office. Actually getting enough votes to win is a whole different matter.

If you want to make internet affordable, allow competition. Most cities or municipalities only allow one wired internet/media in their town. So typically, you have the choice between one cable company, the satellite providers, and maybe your phone company. If you let more companies compete for a wired network, that will surely drop prices. I remember when Google was bringing fiber networks to selected cities (at less than half the price of Comcast or Charter) the big cable companies suddenly started lowering their prices. But only where Google was coming to town. Elsewhere, they were still charging their exorbitant rates.

This slogan is brilliant. So if a leftist opposes this, they have to pretty much admit that they are supporting voter fraud.

One, I can't imagine a murder charge that gets plead down to no jail time. And second, why would AG Barr get involved? This should be a state matter. Smells like BS to me.

Everyone has their breaking point. That point, where you've finally been pushed too far. When you're finally been pushed into a corner. When you feel you've reached the point where there's nothing else to lose. It's hard to define where that point is, but it does exist.

Maybe we haven't been pushed far enough yet. For those that haven't done so, read up on the Battle of Athens. Not just the part where armed citizens attacked the polls, where the ballots were being stuffed. No, you actually have to go back and learn about what the corrupt local government (democrats, no surprise) was doing to the people. People just walking on the sidewalk would get ticketed for jaywalking. People actually avoided going to the center of town as much as possible, as they risked getting arrested on some bogus charge. The local government officials were getting paid exorbitant salaries, and the money was coming in by shaking down the everyday citizens in every way possible. Things were bad. As bad as we have it today, most people are still able to get on with there lives, go to work, and live normally. Yes, the democrats, and left in general, are working hard to disrupt that. And they're accelerating their pace. But I still think it's going to have to get worse before we finally get to the straw that breaks the camel's back.

The Biden (democrat controlled) DOJ, arresting an idol celebrity as big (no pun intended) as Oprah?? There's better odds of me winning the lottery jackpot than this happening.

5
RentedMule 5 points ago +5 / -0

So very true. As much as we should go after those who commit the fraud, never forget that they'd be unlikely to get away with it if it weren't for our biased media covering it up.

Agree, mail in ballots need to be eliminated. If you're unwilling (or just too lazy) to take some time to go to the polls, you shouldn't be deciding who runs the country. For the very small minority of people with disabilities which precludes them from getting to the polls, we can make some limited exceptions. But the vast majority of voters need to make the effort to go to the poll. Also, weeks of early voting need to go to. I think at best, if we're doing early voting, it should start the Friday evening before election day.

I seem to remember he was endorsing a vape product on his radio show a while back. Can't remember which one. Maybe he gets some of the produce as part of the payment.
