I know you didn’t ask, but my suspicion is a ‘jury compromise’ and they get him for one of the lessers. I guess we’ll see, but it seems evident the outcome is not certain.
I’m curious why anyone would think ‘not guilty’ is a sure thing...juries are fickle generally, and they’ve got all the pressure of national scrutiny. Would love to hear some perspective...
We’re either going to find out a lot about it or nothing at all.
No need for a report, it’s hot. Plenty of a/c and everything’s open though...doors open- bring us your tired of bullshit, hardworking, huddled masses
I dont know what to tell you, power to do anything...I have the time, but not the inclination to detail the reasons why power is intoxicating to some people. As an example, look at how people have behaved during anytime in human history, they love telling other people what to do.
Power. That’s the end game.
So stunning. So brave.
Understood, I’m just supposing that for 2024, the stops that will be pulled (again) in opposition to Trump.
If you have a “wide open” primary, which you will, Trump is the obvious, obvious, guy. Msm, and whoever else thinks they have the levers of control will try mightily to put anyone else in, that’s my reference to Jeb! Thank god for the people.
I could even see msm, via Paul Ryan et al, promoting him like a watered down version of Jeb!
Alas, theoretically, the people’s voice still counts.
An online hate campaign?? Where’s Facebook and Twitter when you need them? What a sad sad story.
Everyone’s worth is constantly questioned and scrutinized - that’s the whole point...is this person or that person worth my time. Like, your mere existence should make me endure you’re shittiness? Wtf...
The State charges first and asks questions later. See: Zimmerman, McCloskey, Rittenhouse, etc.
I don’t know what you want me to tell you- healthy people do eat vegetables though. Just make sure you have money lined up for the broccoli insurance mandate under the biden administration.
I recall the argument from the Obamacare case, think it was Scalia, about a mandate to eat broccoli. Same thing, of course you should be able to mandate those things if you can mandate masks, lockdowns, etc.
Also funeral insurance, should be able to mandate that.
They figured out better methods to get rid of people since then.
I can understand dui charges getting dropped if he was under the limit, sure. The consumption of alcohol at a federal park one was cut and dry, I presume the penalty is minor anyway. That’s all reasonable enough, I guess.
But wtf, “unlikely” friend?? Why would Bruce be an unlikely friend? If you were gonna point out any two people and say they became friends, in no universe would I think those two being friends is unlikely. Trump and Springsteen? That’s unlikely. Obama and like Ted nugent or whoever, that’s unlikely. Obama and Springsteen? It’s stupid to suggest that it’s unlikely they’d be friends.
COLA ain’t your friend, dummy. Drink water.
How does this compare to every election year drop? I would assume it goes up and down accordingly...I also assume this is nothing out of the ordinary, unless they do the comparisons...
The lovely times of Obama are here again...the press sparingly asks an actual question, given no answer, and move on. No weeks of follow up media coverage, nothing.
I’d love to see the press of the Trump era, and how they pursued ‘stories’ continue. Of course that was a farce predicated on trying to destroy the guy. It’s a shame.
I mean, as it’s been noted here over and over since the beginning - it’s been done been known that Cuomo was fucking up numbers and policy, only after the election was it even paid attention to. I cannot imagine being a victim of Cuomo and it not coloring my every action. But that’s them I guess.
Such a shame that the ONE thing black folks listened to Trump about was his anti-Asian racism! Everything else? Didn’t hear it.
And what was his anti Asian racism? Identifying the origination point of covid. If there were others, I’ll hang up and listen.
Different people, I know, but it won’t be an RBG situation. Their relative impact on society at large aside, the comparison in treatment is instructive in the landscape/bias of mass media. With RBG, the tenor of coverage was her ‘positive’ impact and how she was a ‘trailblazer’. With Limbaugh the tenor will be muted, with couched negativity (veiled insults) and a likely a focus on his effect on the current ‘climate’.
Dude absolutely changed concepts in radio, and had a massive impact on conservatism. You won’t hear about it except in conservative publications.
Every time I have the discussion, I cannot get a good answer on why the universities are not on the hook...they aren’t the bad guy, they’re not the ones who’s debt gets cancelled, they just skirt away. Why?
Doesn’t matter, votes are rigged. Probably a Twitter bot, this guy even real?
Anytime I see someone talking about “force” on here, I just think it’s an fbi dude...if you aren’t, condolences...but if you are, barking up the wrong tree, in general and specifically.
Oh agreed, if they don’t do the most severe charge, they’ll riot! Nothing will match the riots of a not guilty though
