Whoa! That is hilarious and absolutely terrifying!

Can confirm from my time with a Stryker bridge previously under 2ID at Lewis.

Downtown DC does indeed resemble a forward operating base right now. Either the boog boys are really planning something crazy (seems super doubtful after Sundays showing) or something bigger may be actually brewing

The fence with the razor wire is all around the Capitol comlex. There are numerous checkpoints as roadblocks throughout the greater downtown area around the Capitol and the White House where you can't enter unless you live there or have creds for the secure zone.

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:4-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Crickets so far. I got a nice banner telling me my post would be reviewed first. Second time this week. We'll see.

Yes. The fence around the Capitol is new, and there's NG from DC, VA, and NJ right now that I know of. Easily twice as many people as the initial deployment over the summer of 'love'.

It’s crazy around here now. So much uniformed presence at the Capitol and surrounding area.

I'm counting on that! I've seen the rally tonight; it's going to be wild!!!

Not sure why you can't see it, but after the title I wrote "In a giant pickup truck, four Trump flags waving, God bless you! See all you beautiful bastards on Wednesday!"

It's a welcome sight in the swamp. Not used to seeing Trump support like that.

DCA isn't even in DC, it's in Virgina. Don't worry and show up!

Pretty much. Right next door is PG county in Maryland, which is pretty terrible. Annocostia is pretty dangerous with pockets of gentrification, but usually pretty woke gentrification.

As a swamp dweller, that orange zone needs to stretch East with 50 and then Benning being the southern border.

I realize I'm no more credible than the OP, but I have a friend in the Pentagon, who is an appointee (only there during Trump admin, not a full time DoD employee). Secretary Miller stopped briefings b/c the transition team are idiots asking the wrong people for the wrong briefs and at a pace that made regular daily duties impossible. The current pause is so people can work on normal stuff, take Christmas leave, then start then again after the new year. Now, after January 6 wild rally... Who knows. See y'all on the 6th!

Once upon a time, Charlotte was Charles and got booted by the left for being terrible. https://www.change.org/p/stein-huffingtonpost-com-remove-charles-clymer-as-a-contributor

CBP Anon here. While this could be part of something bigger, it's pretty standard that some people in the gov keep working national security ops on all holidays.
