I am still in and out of the city still to this day. IMO it operates no different or worse (so far) than it has. For now, don't let this scare you from checking the place out. I always tell people, stay alert, and if you want to know where not to go look at the crime map on realtor.com
Very familiar with Peoria. Went to school and worked there for a time. I can confirm that it has per capita as much crime as Chicago, the difference is it keeps itself "mostly" self contained. This is a purely feral human act, and while it is shit, this is just more "low key" garbage crime the city is used to. I'm not shocked this happened to be honest, the area these kids were in is an elevated crime area, and blocks from the higher crime zones. I'm not saying it is right, but as a Parent I don't know if I would have let them set this stand up to begin with. But that area of the city is cucked as fuck. The farther North you go within the city limits the more based people are. Now what is "saving" the city from going full Chiraq mode is just the fact there are less people and more room to breathe. People aren't living on top of each other over-saturating with low IQ meat. The limited public transportation is not as reliable to move the riff-raff around the city as effectively as CTA. Peoria was notorious in the 80s for having a very successful VICE squad that wasn't officially on the books. The crime kept to its neighborhoods. Post-Obama era it spread outside of the known neighborhoods. Also, don't let it fool you, East Peoria is NOT gentrified. This is smoke and mirrors. That town can't tell its ass from a hole in the ground. They had the chance to turn a very prime piece of riverfront property into something special, and instead sold the location to put in a Super Walmart. Now that whole location is just a shit hole. It is just trash tier, you replace black-crime with white-trash crime and opioid abuse, it hides itself within its "small town" "wanna-be-burb" mindset. But back to Peoria. Unlike Chicago, and I'd argue Rockford, Peoria can still be saved, but it is one hell of an uphill battle.
It isn't even sometimes those platforms. The problem is the electronic payment processors went full woke mode, so even alternative methods like what was it SubscribeStar were willing to pay but the money wouldn't be transferred.
This sounds like normal Chappelle, that we all know. Yes he is cherry picking for his
Listen again, he sets the stage for his rant. "We gotta say something"
He doesn't need to say something, he doesn't want to say something, the 'Streets' will speak for itself', and no celebrity should be put on a pedestal.
Don "hotbed of reality" Lemon, that one got me.
But distilled. The base question is. Did the man deserve to die. In that moment.
It is a limited public forum. A Government figure cannot block a citizen. There are specific rules to what this means. The Government account can not censor or silence or block another user. It is a restriction on the Government not the platform. It is what keeps AOC from blocking her opponents.
But didn't you get the 10th edition of the Newspeak Dictionary?
