I had a talk with my son a few months back. It was The Talk about how saying one word, a word in common use among some cultures, would end his career and possibly life, instantly. Using this word is carte blanche for some people to use violence against him, perhaps even lethal violence, with essentially No legal recourse or justice. In fact, defending against this violence may result in his prosecution. This violence may applied regardless of circumstance and location, and many of his friends and family will claim that his assault and even murder was justified for using the word.
Has anyone else had this Talk? Or is it restricted to just my race?
