this would be a better post if it contained a video clip panning the stands.

at least a screenshot.

real question - why does she need donations? nyc has no bail for nonviolent crimes. has she been fined? how much? a couple hundred bucks?

a lot of fundraising around current events goes to scammers, so keep that in mind.

the only one of these that really would be convincing to them is 'your health is your responsibility'

its the old george carlin quote - picture how stupid the average person is ... and consider that half the people are even stupider than that.

you want to trust your own personal health to those stupid people?

fuck no.

if you are actually concerned, get a real mask and protect yourself. you don't need to rely on anybody else doing anything. thta way others not wearing masks are only "hurting" themselves, and not you.

why would anybody want to trust the rest of society for their own protection. people are idiots. protect yourself.

(this is also essentially the 2a argument but you probably wouldn't want to tell a leftist that just yet, save that for another time)

got a phd to teach high school. yikes. that's quite the shock to his ego to find out he's not good enough to get a university job and he's working the same job he could have had 7 years of schooling ago.

We therefore strongly support the calls of public health agencies for all people to wear masks when circumstances compel them to be within 6 ft of others for sustained periods.

That edit though. Seems to mean they are advocating that masks need to be worn in the home (when you are within close proximity for extended periods) and would NOT need to be worn in public (where interactions are fleeting).

the value of the entire US stock market (nyse, nasdaq, etc) is about 35 trillion. You're claiming their net worth is 15x that? lol gtfo with that garbage.

I don't need to know anything about anybody to know that no family comes within at least 2 zeros (and almost certainly 3) of your 500 trillion claim.

RollWave 2 points ago +2 / -0

not sure where the 500 trillion number came from, but it is so wrong and by so many orders of magnitude that I can't tell whether this is meant to be serious or a joke

do they still call really bad boob jobs that just look abnoxiously fake and stick straight out and are rock hard - do they still call those "bolt ons"?

Kamala's got some bolt ons on her cheeks there.

Will Smith after him.

fresh prince tv show, his race was certainly an important part of that character, but once he became movie star, Roles like independence day, i am legend, were completely race neutral. Bad Boys and Men In Black, race was referenced, but not a central component.

it doesn't change the stupidity, maybe makes it worse, but for the record, that clanging sound at the beginning isn't metal on concrete, its metal on the metal barricade leaning against the wall

build a marquee on the front of his private property to project his political statements!

on private property? that's been a thing forever. Every election season you've driven by thousands of signs planted in people's yards on their private property.

the issue in this case is public property, not private.

people have said this every year for decades. Doesn't change how they vote.

Sort of like how congress has 15% approval rating, but 85% of incumbents get reelected.

I was curious why not pardon them before they are charged. that's possible at the federal level.

looks like in Missouri, governor can't actually pardon until after a conviction. So that's different than federal.

mccloskey's would have to go through the entire charge, bail, plea or trial, etc to get a ruling all before the governor would be able to do anything to help.

(though its possible that this mere threat of a pardon would have a deterrent effect on bring charges against them, same as how a threat of a veto often results in legislature not bothering to move forward with a bill ... but not always, we know that sometimes they move forward anyway just to make a statement)

If America Sucks So Bad, You’re Free to Leave

except they aren't though.

leftists don't have practical skills. other countries don't let in immigrants that can't contribute to their society. we're stuck with them.

It's an 80-20 district. the dem primary should be considered 'the election'. no amount of rep fundraising will flip that district.

is it considered dropping the n-word when reading a quote? or does that phrase dropping it, only apply when using it on your own?

If this is actually a serious question - the answer is based on what the test is looking for.

The nasal swabs don't test for the virus itself. They test for the proteins created by your immune system. I forget the biology of exactly why those proteins are found prevalently in the mucus secretion in the back of the nose, but they are. I don't think it's a lymph node - but maybe that gives you sort of the idea of why something would be found in a seemingly weird place.

There could be another kind of test that looks for the virus itself. That test could just use a mouth swab. Some of these are in development, but aren't used since presumably they aren't as good, or they are more expensive, I'm not sure which. Probably not as good, since if they were good, a panicky government or fearmongering business would happily pay for expensive tests.

but that's because people that do this in the past normally don't have any money to recoup.

If this were to pass into law, lots of people who could pay wouldn't. Those are the ones where it's relevant whether not recoup is possible, since there would actually be savings or assets available that they just chose not to pay you since there were no penalties.
