First off, in my head I read the entire thing in my head in a stereotypical Canadian accent. Second, I think you’re correct in that states’ autonomy has been completely overruled. I’d like to see a much smaller federal government with states freer to control their own destiny. What works for New York City isn’t going to apply to Sioux Falls, SD.
This bullshit and constant attacks on our culture is so tiresome. We all know it’s nonsense. It’s the new “noble savage” narrative. Some natives did horrible things, some were fine people. Not sure why the left can’t accept that not all non-white groups are not collectives and are actually made up of individuals
As a former SD resident, it really is a fantastic place. The Black Hills and The Badlands are absolutely gorgeous. I lived in Sioux Falls, and even though it’s mostly farmland in the surrounding area, there are some incredible State Parks. Even Sioux Falls is a cool place with a really nice little downtown area.
I live in Wesley Hunt’s district and have been campaigning for him pretty hard. My neighborhood is super based and so I really want to see us flip back to red. Lizzie Fletcher voted with Pelosi 99% of the time, she needs kicked to the curb
