Ah, well thank you for the info, ill make sure to recheck all my parts, I've taken it to the range a few times, only had it for about 3 months now and had it out a few times. So far I haven't had issues, really unfortunate you had that experience though. So far mine has been pretty accurate out of the box, but I haven't had time to really sit down and put a decent sight on it and zero it. Can hit targets pretty decently at 50 yards with a decently small grouping but I haven't adjusted the sights much from stock(running magpul Mbus irons atm).
Was it recent? They upped their QC in the last few years. And if i'm not mistaken they just bought out Remington.
Palmetto State is a good place if your looking to get some, they are affordable and reliable. Bought me one earlier this year and have had no issues at all so far with mine and did a ton of research before purchase.

There are some good cheap Ar-15 builds out there. Especially if your willing to assemble it yourself, which can be done by quite literally anyone. Source: (i did one myself recently with no experience what so ever.) If you just watch some videos online. I personally got a Palmetto state armory upper and lower kit and got a lower receiver from a local gun store. Insanly happy with it, was around 700 total. You can get some cheaper from other places assembled though as low as about 450-500 for an already assembled Ar-15.
