I was young, naive, and wanted to serve after the 9/11 bullshit. It’s been a hard pill to swallow, and I’ve always been a “conservative.”

And to add to your spot on statement, God is preparing our hearts and minds for living in a perfect world. Three hundred years of our American society is trivial compared to an infinite amount of time in God’s perfect kingdom.
