Congrats! Beautiful ring 😊 The best advice my husband and I were given when we got married was to always remember that it’s never husband vs wife but both of you vs the problem.

I honestly couldn’t even venture a guess on how Trump pulls this off... but I just have to believe that good ultimately beats evil. Maybe it’s naieve, but I have faith that the balance of the universe depends on good people being “allowed” (by god, by karma, by whatever the force may be) to emerge victorious- that evil is always fighting good, not good always fighting evil. I’m in no way encouraging inaction, because we all need to do whatever we can to stop this fraud, but this is such a pivotal moment in the history of our country that if evil does win despite all our best efforts, then we really never stood a chance to begin with.

Ugh I’m sorry you had such a difficult labor. I completely agree with you. I wanted a medication-free birth so badly- my husband and I even took Bradley method classes for hours a week for months. But then I ended up having to be induced and was in active labor with my water broken for over 72 hours and pushed for about 3 hours (I have no idea how you did 9!) So while I think completely natural births are favorable and I wish I didn’t have to be induced, I’m just grateful that my son and I are alive. Oftentimes the medical assistance doesn’t make it easier at all.

I’m so sorry your mom is being like this 🙁 I have a BernieBro brother I just can’t even talk to anymore so I get it. My parents on the other hand are based AF- my mom actually introduced me to TDW.

I’m triggered by the fact that even the most idealized picture of family life still involves my kids pulling shit out of my purse while I try to cook dinner.

Tell your GF she’s not alone- I can’t walk to the mailbox around the corner from my house without carrying my glock now. So many people have fled shithole center city to move to my suburb that it’s now just as bad as the city.

So strange. I live in burbs that sound similar to yours (but east coast) and a few times over the past few weeks I’ve heard 5-10 rounds of what sounds like a .45 at like 1 or 2 am. It sounds so close that I always jump up to grab my glock and investigate. Ive never figured out where it’s coming from, and I never end up seeing anything on the dispatch. I do see constant dispatches for residential fires lately though. And I live on a kind of main road and it seems like there are police cars and fire trucks with sirens on racing past my house all day every day.

And Wolf has had PA in a “state of emergency” for 2 years because of the opioid epidemic which technically makes it illegal to open carry. The legislature recently passed a bill to write into law that open carry is to be legal during states of emergency. Then Wolf vetoed it because apparently we should just trust him that he won’t enforce the technical illegality 🙄

Has anyone started a PA signal group? If not, I’ll start one.

Had you just gotten out of the shower? Were you wearing a towel and chasing your dog to pull his tail?

Such a good point! I think there’s that weird element of being born a leftist (generally not competitive, being too soft and over-emotional while not actually being empathetic, having no sense of hubris) but so many leftists also seemed to have those “cool” hands-off parents. I remember every Halloween my dad would confiscate about a third of my candy because “taxes.” 😂

When I was a kid I was pissed that my dad was stealing my candy. Now as an adult, I’m pissed that the government is stealing my money. So my dad is annoying but at least I’m not a leftist.

Oh haha I’m so sorry I know it’s not you! ❤️ I meant “you” like talking to the person who took the picture. You shouldn’t be getting attacked, I think we’re all ultimately grateful you shared this because it’s very important to know what kind of bs they’re pulling.

I grew up in Commiefornia so I never really experienced snow (aside from family ski trips) until I moved to the east coast for college. I think I’m just as excited by snow as my kid haha. Oh my gosh that sledding hill sounds like so much fun! I wonder if someone could put some snow chains on a pick up truck or suv to take some neighborhood kids up there so they can still go sledding 😀

PA ladypede checking in! We got more snow today than we have in a couple of years, so my 2 year old got to have his first real snowball fight with mama 😍 Apparently he calls snow “bubbles” I guess because it looks like a giant bubble bath outside 😂 Today was a great reminder that despite all of the craziness happening around us, it’s still the best time of the year and there are still so many amazing things to be fully present to experience with our families.

I seriously don’t get it. You’re in the position to be a poll watcher— something that requires numerous variables lining up correctly to achieve— but then you get there and there are some barricades so you stand behind them, take a picture, and whine about how corrupt people are being corrupt?! I broke through barriers and got in an argument with an employee AT THE AQUARIUM because they told me my kid couldn’t sit at a table in that specific food court to eat his pretzel that I bought from a shop like 5 feet away but outside of the barricade ... because COVID...

Make a scene. Don’t just shrug and go home.

The evil schemes and misdirected hate against this great man are heartbreaking. I just hope he knows how much we pedes truly love him and appreciate his bravery in fighting for us, our country, and the continued freedom of our children.

There’s definitely a self-fulfilling prophecy involved. They were likely unattractive and didn’t have boyfriends in high school, and blamed that on all guys being assholes instead of questioning whether they were being too introverted or aiming for guys out of their leagues. Then they translated that idea that all guys are assholes to their distorted version of “feminism.” Then being a “feminist” (not taking care of oneself, eating unhealthy, shunning the idea of marriage and children) becomes integral to their identities. And that just encourages them to be more unhealthy and take worse care of themselves.

Pa in particular is really troublesome to me because anywhere more than like 20 miles outside of center city is extreme MAGA country. And even just 5 miles or so outside of center city it’s pretty evenly divided- but we’re supposed to believe pa is blue and suburbs closer to the city like delco voted 70% for Biden. And suburbs like Chester county that encompass huge swaths of MAGA country voted (what was it?) 60% for Biden. It’s laughable. I wonder if there is a premise under which residents of counties that are now known to have taken large sums of Zuckerberg money could sue.

We all understand how appalled you are— don’t feel alone. My husband works in pharma and it’s just pure comedic gold that the Covid vaccine has now made it woke to like big pharma. It’s a shame that so many conservatives have to hide their beliefs when they work at huge liberal global companies, but I know it makes my husband feel better to remind himself that the exorbitant amount of money they pay him goes to supporting our extremely traditional nuclear family and fun things like the not so occasional gun purchase 😉 (you know, everything they hate)
