This is what makes this site vastly different than all the liberal havens like Twitter and Reddit. His opinion ruffled quite a few feathers, including mine. But once we both explained rationally our differences, it revealed that we actually had some agreements as well. On the leftwing sites, if anybody stated an opinion even slightly different, everybody would gang up on them, spewing out venom and hate, and even threatening and doxing them. No room for any slight disagreement in their little bubbles and echo chambers.
I agree with this. I was an average baseball fan (the only sport besides the Olympics that I was ever into) until this season, and now I won't even watch highlights of it. At this moment, pro sports have been hijacked by the far-left, and at this moment, they need to be boycotted by the right to send a message. Eventually, that message might resonate and changes might be implemented, so America's pastimes can be enjoyed by everybody again. My issue is that so many on our side will shell out thousands of dollars on games and fantasy football and merchandise, then come on this site and others and complain about the SJWs that have taken over NFL, while they are tacitly endorsing it with all the money and time they spend.
Literally not one person on this thread is demanding, dictating or forcing anybody not to watch a pro sports game/Marxist protest. Not one demand or threat. Mere suggestions have been made to improve one's life, instead of wasting it on millionaire felons and drug addicts who openly hate America and our culture. Maybe it's time for families to start new traditions and pastimes?
On the whole, it feels quite good.
