My Granddaddy was in Korea as well! Marine too! Hoorah! Hug yours tight for me, I miss mine every day! I took care of him & my great uncle(disabled marine from viet nam) until they both died in 2014. They were both my heros. Their biggest fear was being put into the VA & I gave them years of my life, so they could live life in all the glory they deserved. Did she get plasma immediately? I have been under the impression that even if you have comorbidities, but you start treatment therapies EARLY! you will be ok. It's days 4 thru 7 that are crucial. And if you wait to get treatment therapies you could be screwed.
