The problem for them in 16 is that Hilldawg was one of the most hated politicians of our time. The Club Vagina people loved that she was a womyn and status quo folks picked her over trump. But at the end of the day it was one polarizing candidate vs another in 16.
In 20, it was one polarizing candidate vs bland career politician who seems like a nice old man on the surface. (Plus a hefty dose of “fortification” at the polls)
The only reason I’ve been here since early 16 is because when hildawg was finalized I knew I would vote against her, even as someone with only a passing interest in politics. So I wanted to get to know who I would be voting for. If they put up a Biden type, I probably would’ve stayed asleep and voted for Obama Hope and Change part 2: electric boogaloo.

I never got why Africans still do the water vase on head thing. They have to walk far to get the water and they only come back with one jug? The wheel has been out for a while now, they could use a cart to get 5-10x the water. Or they could tame some beast of burden and get 100x water per trip.

I don’t know much about transportation, but I’d think as someone very plugged into the LGBTQUIA community, mayor “butt judge” Pete would have deep knowledge of trans issues, whether transgender, transracial, or transportation.

For me, I think it’s one of my gifts. Unfortunately I am not in a position to do anything real with it.
Just remember that it’s important we take an active role in destroying our privileges. If you just passively renounce your privilege it won’t do anything but make you a hypocrite. You’ll still be the one getting the vaccine, while oppressed POC continue to be disproportionately affected by the totally real and super serial pandemic. This is where you start to make that stand. You will not take that dose when some POC are being overlooked. The only reason you have the opportunity to get it and they don’t is because you have lived a life you didn’t earn that put you in the place where you are offered the vaccine. You didn’t earn it, POC need it more, taking that dose is nothing more than you continuing to benefit off your ill gotten privilege. It’s time for you to start doing the work needed to begin healing your ancestral sins.
