I don’t think it works like that. Everyone in the government is against trump. The legal system will do nothing and from that point on the military will listen to Biden.

"No political parties" means nothing because like-minded independents would gather together and form something of a coalition. Like how Bernie is "independent" but we know he's pretty much a Democrat. It would just be harder to tell who was on what side to the normal person.

That would split the conservative vote and would definitely ensure Democrats would win. But like that matters now.
