Georgia's flag, even after the redesign, is still a Confederate flag. It's the first national flag of the CSA before they switched to using a white flag with the battle flag on it. Yet no one seems to care about that. They just hate the battle flag. It's hypocritical.
Earlier a banner was flown over the stadium which read "White Lives Matter." The Burnely Football Club issued a statement saying: "Burnley Football Club strongly condemns the actions of those responsible for the aircraft and offensive banner that flew over The Etihad Stadium on Monday evening."
So they condemn people suggesting white lives matter.
"This, in no way, represents what Burnley Football Club stands for and we will work fully with the authorities to identify those responsible and issue lifetime bans."
Burnley Football Club does not stand for the fact that white lives matter.
"The club has a proud record of working with all genders, religions and faiths through its award-winning Community scheme, and stands against racism of any kind."
Apparently they don't have a proud record of working with all races. By saying they do not stand with white lives, who is the real racist?

I wonder how long before they turn off the comments?

I admire their commitment to preserving their language and culture in this town in the modern political climate of South Africa. They're not anarchists, but they want to live autonomously.
Hypothetically speaking; Joe Biden wins the election, pro-Trump people begin to protest because the election was rigged towards Democrats to win (if he won I guarantee you it would be due to voter fraud). Protesters would call for new elections with proper measures taken, such as voter ID, no mail-in ballots (assuming this happens), etc. January 20, 2025 arrives, and Trump, while initially conceding defeat, later refuses to leave office citing voter fraud making Biden's victory illegitimate.
I don't believe Trump would refuse to stay in office if he lost, but let's just assume he doesn't. This would lead to a constitutional crisis similar to the situation in The Gambia at the end of 2016, start of 2017 when President Jammeh refused to step down after losing the election to Adama Barrow.
In this situation, what would happen? Would the military back Trump or Biden? In The Gambia, the military mainly backed Barrow. Would the US military similarly back Biden? I would think most military personnel would be conservative or favor Trump, but would they really fight to let Biden of all people become president? I guess they are trying to uphold the constitution, but what does the constitution say about if the other candidate commits voter fraud to become president?
I said this was hypothetical so it's not supposed to be realistically something that would happen. But every day I can see it happening more and more.
According to data on this site: https://mappingpoliceviolence.org
On the front page they state that 24% of people killed by cops are black. So what about the other 76%? I didn't see that info posted there.
On the page titled "national trends" you can see total counts.
In 2019, 1,099 people were killed by police. Of that, 260 were black. You know how many whites were? 407.
That 24% mentioned earlier is probably a rounded up number of last year's data. 260/1,099 = 23.6%.
That means out of 1,099, the percentages are (rounded):
Pacific Islander (0.8%)
Native American (1.2%)
Asian (1.5%)
Hispanic (16.5%)
Unknown (19.3%)
Black (23.7%)
White (37.0%)
More whites are killed than blacks by police. Where is the outrage?
This isn't aimed directly at people on TD but just in general. The groups of conservatives going around protesting without masks is quite honestly retarded. Not the fact they're protesting, but how they're in such close proximity and not wearing a mask.
I do believe the shutdown needs to end. If everyone just wore masks it wouldn't be spreading as much. Unless you have one of those N95 masks or better, it will not really help stopping you from catching the virus. It does, however, keep you from potentially spreading it, since you can be infectious for several days before showing symptoms.
Just wear a mask if you go out, especially if you're protesting. If you don't, you're not helping this virus go away any faster.
Edit: I'm not saying this should be forced upon you by the government. If you are 100% sure you will not pick up the virus and/or unknowingly spread it by the time you start to have symptoms, be my guest and don't wear it. I wouldn't in that case anyways. However, in my city we have had several deaths from it and people are still being infected, and so in situations like this, a mask should be worn. Don't just not wear a mask out of spite against the government or anyone else.
