One of the explicit reasons SCOTUS exists is to resolve “Controversies between two or more States.” Not making a ruling here is an admission that they’re completely useless

Article III, Section 2

The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;—to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;—to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;—to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;—to Controversies between two or more States;— between a State and Citizens of another State,—between Citizens of different States,—between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects.

Amendment XI

The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State.

Please tell me how your interpretation makes sense, because I’m simply not seeing it

If they vote against this case, they’re also invalidating the clause that says how many electors each state gets (it’s literally the same sentence). I’d bet Texas sends 400 electors in retaliation if that happens

There’s so much wrong with this, but I’ll just point out

but mostly SCOTUS does not get involved in state squabbles

“Getting involved in state squabbles” is quite literally the explicit reason SCOTUS exists. Who else is supposed to handle them?

When a household name is handcuffed in a cell, yes. Until then, no

Anyone who’s tested positive and quarantining should make reservations. Don’t inform them of this until you’re seated. Doesn’t matter if something’s open if there’s no staff to keep it open

Electors meet in their respective state capitols. We’ll need more human chains

Nothing’s official yet as far as I know, but there’s rumors that Florida and Louisiana are strongly considering joining

Amendment XII

...the President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted; -- The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed...

The President of the Senate is also called the Vice President. Pence runs the show there in the same way the Speaker runs the House

POTUS has to be 35+. Maybe that’s what you remembered?

That fucker Wilson let them get income tax, the Federal Reserve, and popular election of Senators (they used to be chosen by state legislatures) all in the same year. Future times will look back at 1913 as the year our troubles really started

The difference is that until about two months ago everyone just assumed we’d be able to vote our way back to the right path. That’s why Trump won in 2016

Now we’re seeing that even that isn’t possible. There’s probably tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of people literally just waiting to see what the courts do before they decide if the Minecraft servers need to be turned online. Peaceful resolution is obviously ideal, but if that’s never going to happen, even in theory... I know for my part if Trump said the storm is upon us I’d join the fight

My assessment

  • Trump will be inaugurated for his second term in January. This shit is all to root out who’s actually loyal and who’s not

  • optics only matter to the extent that corrupt officials understand what happens to them if they continue to enable the corruption

  • if SCOTUS cucks out, optics are completely irrelevant. Now tell me, what happens when 80 million of the most heavily armed population in world history decides that they are not represented in their government and that something needs to be done to fix that problem?

Why do voting machines use iOS? If they don’t why do they need iOS updates?

That aside, the other point I didn’t mention is that these machines shouldn’t need update deployed on the fly in the first place. The banking system still uses a ton of COBOL and FORTRAN internally because the code was written 50 years ago and it fucking works. Our nuclear arsenals are basically unhackable since the ancient frameworks are incompatible with anything used in the modern world. Voting simply needs a basic “votes go in, totals come out,” anyone saying internet is required needs to give a damn good reason for it
