The responsibility for one's personal immune system lies with the individual.

The push to mask up for "the greater good": what else will be required, and to what end?

The human respiratory system was not designed to continually inhale the trapped wastes that occur with exhalation. Why people don't grasp this simple & obvious concept is sad.

Capitalize all color names or don't capitalize any.

Also - there is no such thing as "white" skin or "black" skin. They're varying shades on the brown-to-beige spectrum.

As a woman, even I cannot figure out how to deal with crazy women. I keep looking for the "off" switch, but cannot ever find one.....insufferable & irritating like a constantly dripping faucet

Especially when hair & brow colors don’t match.

Great move! Mine are silk: sheer, breathable & no-fog on the glasses. I’m wondering if there will eventually be a move towards enforcing the use of “proper” masks. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least here in the Seattle metro area. This area is lost — super blue.

Yes - chipmunk; the classification is superb!

Incorrect -- it's not a massive warning sign that my cardiovascular system is in very poor condition. Each person is responsible for their own immune system; mine functions exceptionally well. You've made assumptions that are misdirected & illogical.

Simply put & easy to remember: the human respiratory system is designed to breathe oxygen, not exhaled waste.

I do understand this very well. I have worn an N95 exactly once (Doc office visit requirement) & only had it on about 2 minutes, when it caused me to start passing out. I took it off in violation of their rules. I explained the situation & the doc told me that I just had to get used to it by conditioning myself to breathing through a "filter". I told her No thank you, & was politely Karen-ed by her! Also have experienced mask-bullying which actually wasn't a surprise since I'm in the Seattle suburbs. That is quite uncomfortable in a public setting, so I was determined to find a way around this. You should note that some state's requirements have been changed to mandatory "wear a mask or face covering". So I'm making some, using very sheer silk & linen. Both are super easy to breathe through, not hot or uncomfortable. However, they won't serve to filter anything except perhaps mosquitoes & insects, lol. It became necessary to go this route as there is a new ruling-in many states; they are required when in a closed venue. Grocery shopping is a necessity, so that's the only place I will use one. Otherwise, forget it!

I find it interesting that the NYT found it necessary to identify these individuals. How much relevance do they actually have in most people’s lives?

Many have moved far away from personal responsibility & self-determination, & now are embracing being given whatever they deem necessary.

What happened to investing one’s energy in pursuit of that which is believed to be important? When we reach a point of imbalance, then what? Need vs want: It’s not practical or sustainable, nor is it my responsibility to subsidize the desires of other people.

So chic! Serious question: if we’ve not yet reached peak level of absurdity, how far does this go? I’m noticing that woke folks have reverted to toddler-age reasoning. Anything & everything is being utilized to force the “I’m offended” mindset. Sad...

Lol....excellent! But please: explain the cheeks!

So good to hear REAL laughter & see them enjoying this. Infectious!

People in masks rarely laugh. Just a lot of downcast eyes & muffled mumbling around the Seattle area.

The dude with the bear shirt looks unsure of how to do it correctly.

So true. I’m surrounded by them in & near Seattle. All living in their heads....

Cardboard is frequently used to smother weeds. However, plants need soil in which to strike their roots. In order to successfully grow plants, they must be provided those things which ensure success. Zero forethought; Their lack of knowledge is astounding.

Actually, basil grows well outside regardless of organic/non-organic status. Important point: it would be successful when given the conditions it needs starting with being able to strike its roots into soil instead of cardboard. Also note that it’s been raining with continual cool nighttime temperatures. Basil slides into dormancy at 60 degrees. Our nighttime temperatures have been in the low to mid 50s over the past couple weeks. Fantasy gardening only happens in fantasyland.
