You would hardly know you’re sick with Omicron....this is from a board member of the South African Medical Association:

"It presents mild disease with symptoms being sore muscles and tiredness for a day or two not feeling well," Coetzee explained. "So far, we have detected that those infected do not suffer the loss of taste or smell. They might have a slight cough. There are no prominent symptoms. Of those infected some are currently being treated at home."

She doesn’t even mention a fever, sore throat or congestion! It’s “tired and aching for a couple of days”. I feel like that after putting up Christmas lights!

I drove thru LaGrange the other day and there was a rather large apartment building going up on the outskirts! I got home and looked up the real estate listings on Zillow and there were literally only 3 houses for sale there. Are people commuting that far?? I mean, it would be a great place to live if you only had to go to the office 1-2x per week. Crazy.

When I was in school at UT back in the Middle Ages, we called them “leftover hippies” that refused to leave the 60s behind. They are what made Austin “weird”...but it was a wonderful city back then.

Amen to that, brother! I was listening to SRV just a little earlier. He will always be my #1. I even got to meet him once. (And, oddly, my son was born the day he died.)

Watch some good ol’ Salty Cracker on Wednesday, Friday and Sundays at 7:30 central time to get geeked up with big energy. I never miss an episode. https://saltmustflow.com/

Well, they have to give those a chance who are just visiting a chance to get back home, but yeah....it’s all bullshit anyway.

I’m thankful that I live in a small conservative town in Texas. We support our first responders, we love our veterans, we take care of our neighbors, we go to church, many of us proudly fly Trump flags, and everyone is armed to the teeth. God Bless Texas.

Despite its disgusting connotations, “free helicopter rides” has become quite a meme online for people who support President Trump and his neo-fascist policies. There are entire Facebook pages devoted to Pinochet’s Free Helicopter Rides, and even websites that sell t-shirts and other gear with the phrase.

These people have NO sense of humor left. OMG

“....and to all of you who won’t be alive for Thanksgiving next year, it’s been real. Cheers!”
