This is my experience as well. When talking about current events the speak as if you and everyone around automatically agree with them. I don’t state my politics but I do correct their misinformation. I try to do it respectfully too but their demeanor changes in a dime and they get angry and defensive.
I have gay friends that don’t fit into the stereotype. They just want to live their life. I actually grew up in a conservative family but my first interactions with gay people were not what I was led to believe. No one tried to force any beliefs. This was the 90’s though. They were just gay and doing their thing as far as I was concerned. I didn’t have to agree with the lifestyle but if they weren’t hurting anyone I didn’t care. I’m actually really confused by the over-the-top parades. No one really cares too much anymore. The majority of America is fine with your sexual preference. Why the need to engage in those displays. I don’t see what it accomplishes.
To me it’s just like any “marginalized” movement. “I’m a victim, therefore I can do what I want and you can’t stop me”
I totally agree about the pride parades. I’m not saying I endorse those disasters. I actually think it’s sad and hurts the conversation. I really really don’t like the sexualization of children either. I don’t care if people hold a pride parade either but the degeneracy is a problem. It’s like Antifa. I believe in their right to protest and march it that’s all they did to make their voices heard, but they devolve into distruction. Hell, I don’t care if they use cringey shock imagery but just don’t damage other people’s property or hurt others (this includes exposing children to the behavior).
Side note: I didn’t realize they were fucking in the streets. I’d be fed up with that shit too.

Here here. I’ve been surprised by some of the anti gay things ive seen on here. I fully understand rejecting the movement that is like the gay version of BLM, but I know that doesn’t represent LGB that just want to live their lives equally. Sadly the LGB are persecuted by the T+ crowd from my understanding. There’s even a term for it they use. TERF which I think is Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist.
