This is one of those switches perspective moments. I was working while it went down, but I work in a hospital and TVs were on in peoples rooms. I’d hear parts of it and I was like “Oh man, Trump is just sounding belligerent. “. Everyone I talked to after work said it was a bicker fest. I caught some commentary online While headed home, watched it myself and was like... damn Trump clapped Biden’s cheeks. But I still think he could have done a little better optically. It makes way more sense though if you see it through the lense of Trump didn’t need to win, he just needed to deny Biden a win. He needed to throw Joe off script and he did just that.

I have a lefty friend at work that has really vile opinions about Trump. He looked destroyed when I mentioned that I absolutely hated Trump until I woke up to the media lies and saw the good he was doing. All I had to point out was the peace treaties and there was no come back other than the initial bombings. I pointed out that he inherited a lot of that from Obama and has since ceased and worked hard to end the wars and pull out troops out. Plus no new wars or active conflicts going on. Next response was that he’s cozy with countries that we traditionally don’t trust or are suspicious of. My response was that peace only happens if you make attempts and he bears down on the ones that deserve it like China. End of convo.

I don’t know why people downvote questions or thoughts sometimes. Feels like Reddit. Make a suggestion or ask a question and people fall in line with a thumbs down.

Lol. I doubt it’s him, but I sometimes wonder when someone sounds like him online. A 4chan poster used “By hook or by crook” once and I was like “Yo, colonel clank!”

I’m fairly sedentary and everything going on has me feeling like I really really need to go to the gym regularly

A little too late for election, but how does a civilian (too old for military enlistment) get proper combat training (if that’s even possible?). Militias?

Social interaction is a key part of my job, so I have no alternative. I have to balance it.

Oh don’t worry, I know how the game works. I’ve always loved by the mantra of “Don’t dip your own in company ink” and “Don’t shit where you eat”. I’m an observant analytical type so I tend to smell traps, and if I don’t I learn fast. I’m good with people relations because I can be friendly and approachable but I can put my foot down usually when need be.

Edit: when I say flirting at work, I mean flirty behavior. They are getting into that bubbly interested mode and I surf that wave a little but don’t let it get into actual romantic/sexual territory. I cut back and go back to work before that happens.

Probably due to incontinence. Apparently staffers leaked (pun intended) that he’s on Namenda and suffering the side affects, needing adult diapers. Not sure if it’s true, but that would explain the need.

Yeah I don’t know the answer. I’ve had a few women flirt with me at work and I usually just shrug it off because I’m automatically suspicious due to experience. One even got mad that I rejected her advances. But she was putting out red flags hardcore. Flirted with one the other night too. Younger me would have jumped on it. Seasoned me enjoys it because I know I’m not going to take it seriously and then I just keep on working like nothing happened.

Not quite. Hitting that number soon though. So yeah my perspective is a little different, but I see how bad it’s gotten. I work around a lot of women too who will not realize I’m at a desk in a corner and trust me, I hear them talking when they aren’t haven’t to put up a front. Like I said, I’m glad I didn’t get roped in. At this age if I were to take it seriously I’d be looking at women from other countries that have higher moral standards. That or taking advantage of looking 10 years younger than I am and being a younger gals one off. But those girls are a dime a dozen. Having no ties at this age is nice (for me anyway). Fairly drama free.

I smell some trolls or mgtow. A lot of the posts aren’t wrong though. A lot of guys develop these issues because they get reject by their ideal type without realizing maybe they should change their type. If you can be honest with yourself and fix your short comings, you’ll find decent women. Also learning how to not be a pushover without being a dick is necessary. Decent women will respect your boundaries but you have to learn how to set them. That said, the the choices these days are terrible. It’s discouraging. You may not understand the response but believe me, the landscape has changed dramatically and there is a lot of garbage one has to sift through to find a decent woman. I’ve taken a break from dating and I’m glad I never got married or had kids even though I originally wanted to. I look around and see what has happened to so many guys I know that I feel like I dodged some serious bullets.

I agree with all of those except the cannabis. When I smoked back in the day I was more productive, but I didn’t smoke non stop. I just used it as a sleep aid/reset button every few nights. Haven’t been able to because having a job is more important but I sure do miss my Friday night one hitters.

I work in healthcare (hospital to be exact). It’s definitely real and bad for that select at risk group, but everyone knows the measures taken are absolute bullshit. I’m not high up on the chain, but I’m around nurses and doctors enough to know most think this is all nonsense. The only thing more frustrating is the amount of healthcare professionals that actually bought the lies despite it all going against their education and our medical training.

THANK YOU!! I logged on just to reply to this. I used to identify Libertarian, but I've noticed over the years that modern Libertarians sound more like Anarchists and the party itself is some weird authoritarian establishment. So I just identify as minarchist/constitutionalist/classic liberal depending on who I talk to. From 1998 https://www.libertarianism.org/publications/essays/are-libertarians-anti-government

Where can I find a delicious collection of based memes? I get a taste once in a while on sites like this, but surely there is a source.

Do you think he meant Don(ald) and said John because of dementia?

There's a long hour+ video where he breaks it all down and it sounds just like what we are witnessing today, but it was filmed in 1969 I believe.

I'm a white gun owner and when people find out they say "Now you aren't going to shoot up any schools are you?". Sadly they are only half joking because the MSM stupidity is seeded that deeply. But I don't take offense, I just play it off and give them a speech about range safety and share stories about some of the goofballs I've seen at the range. Usually prompts a little curiosity after that.
