The United States Constitution is the law of the land, and any statute to be valid, must be in agreement. Any law that violates the Constitution is therefore invalid.

There is avenue for consideration of quarantines et al, and they are powers extended to the Department of Health, and these powers are limited in their scope to these unelected officials. These powers are not extended to state governors and city mayors. Their edicts, declarations and faux legislation are a pox on our Constitutional Republic.

Is your powder dry?

OK, individuals described as comedians whether or not anything that they utter, I find remotely humorous, still get somewhat of a pass because they may not be serious when they make outlandish statements. That, is all part of a comedian's gig, touching a nerve, then backing off to watch the result. We all get that, it's part of the schtick.

I watched Trevor Noah, and in this instance (his utterance was just part of a segment on the gender reveal craze) he seemed quite serious. These gender reveal parties often deserve ridicule because many have inadvertently (usually because the daft people holding the part have not thought through the process and adapted to fit the conditions present, or are simply ignorant ... i.e. releasing a huge bunch of pink mylar balloons underneath power lines, and shorting-out 13,800V lines blowing out a transformer and taking a city block's power down) have resulted in unexpected negative consequences, This part that I'm posting about however contained no tongue-in-cheek sarcasm that I could detect. Noah was straight-up bringing the Woke-iest of Woke, as reported by;

the Daily Wire on Twitter;

... and the Republican Senator and possible future Supreme Court Justice from the State of Texas, Ted Cruz responds;

A fair point. Many liberal males never grow balls….

Harr-dee-har-har. It is 2020 and a year ago, I may have tsk-tsked such a bold retort, but certainly no longer, instead, now I chuckle and applaud. Assuming that our side gets to write the history books, and making the huge assumption that anyone in the future will make the effort to read and view and analyze the history of this era, after analysis, the Left will come out as the blistering losers that they are. The movement that almost destroyed the greatest nation on the face of this good earth.

Robert Reich, former Secretary of Labor under the Clinton Administration, joining a host of other professional malcontents during the magnificent epoch of Donald Trump, has again squeaked his opposition to the successful and innovative by directing his dim vision toward Elon Musk owner of the Boring Company and manufacturer of the Tesla electric automobile..

Reich cannot stomach the fact that individuals can and do attain great wealth in this country. Of course, we never get to hear about the Bezos' and Gates' safely sinecured in the womb of the Left.

Twitter (cesspool of the 21st century):

Tesla forced all workers to take a 10 percent pay cut from mid-April until July. In the same period, Tesla stock skyrocketed and CEO Elon Musk’s net worth quadrupled from $25 billion to over $100 billion.

Musk is a modern-day robber baron.

— Robert Reich (@RBReich) September 8, 2020

... and Elon Musk's response;

All Tesla workers also get stock, so their compensation increased proportionately. You are a modern day moron.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) September 9, 2020

While I am tempted to expound on Elon's comment, instead, I'll leave it right there.

Mom, Dad... I've decided that you're right, I should go to college, and what's more, I've already picked one out.

Hillsdale College... where Kat Timpf of the Greg Gutfeld Show matriculated, and speakers/instructors like Victor Davis Hanson of the Hoover Institution are staff.

Hillsdale College’s John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center is located five miles from campus. The 113-acre facility features four American trap fields, a five-stand sporting clays field, a small arms range, an International skeet field, an International/Olympic bunker field, an archery range, and AcuSport Lodge. The center is home to Hillsdale’s national champion shotgun team. Through the Halter Center, Hillsdale College aims to develop its competitive collegiate shotgun team, introduce new shooters to the sport, and promote interest in the shooting sports in general.>

https://www.hillsdale.edu/about/facilities/shooting-sports-center/

The Hillsdale College Firearms Club exists for students to learn and enjoy the sport of firearms. Two open shoots are typically held each week at the Hillsdale College Shooting Sports Center. The club currently focuses on trap shooting, but as construction on College facilities expands, so too will the club’s offerings. Current plans include outdoor ranges for pistol, rifle, and archery. Membership Requirements>

All are welcome, from novice to experienced, and asked to pay sixty dollars each semester in dues to cover range operations, gun use, ammunition, and clays. Firearms are available for club use; private firearms are also allowed but must be inspected by a range officer. Ear and eye protection are provided and required. Prior to involvement with the group, students are asked to complete a safety briefing.>
