Be ready to walk in the last 10-20 miles. People who risked jail with the steal are not going to roll over and just let this happen. Expect all manner of resistance in getting into DC proper starting on the 5th and maybe before. People who are successful will treat this as a hiking trip, as that is a very likely outcome.
Go early, have 2-3 contingency plans to get into the DC area. Flights will be cancelled, roadblocks and fake accidents will be staged, motels and rent a car bribed and intimidated. If physically able, get within 60 miles of DC and have a town in mind where you can walk in from. They have 2.5 weeks to shut millions of people out, money is already pouring in to accomplish this. Plan Smart as if you are planning an extended HIKE, because it's a near certainty that you will be doing just that.
The other side knows this as surely as we know it. They will use everything they have to prevent you from reaching DC, blocked roads, fake road work, fake accidents, cancelled flights, cancelled car rentals, bribed and intimidated motels and hotels. Don't think we can just buy a plane ticket, pick up a rent a car and walk into a hotel in one of the most corrupt cities in history that has two weeks to expect and defuse this.
Many people, self included, are going to plan SMART to cross their own personal Rubicon and get into DC. It will not be easy. Godspeed.
Start with looking at routes in via blue cities, they will concentrate their efforts on red routes from S, SE, SW, E, personally, I'm not even considering air travel anytime near that date. Make plans to get near DC by the 4th. Cooperate on alternate nearby smaller cities and towns if DC gets locked down from entry.

Technology is very different today than in the past and there is no need for half the federal agencies that exist including the FBI. Government, and especially centralized government is a necessary evil, it is a risky vaccine that cures just enough more than it kills. Get ready for ALL airlines to cancel and delay many flights to anywhere near DC on any date near the 6th. Get ready for "inexplicable" rental car and motel/hotel cancellations. The same money that bought the election can certainly cancel key flights and other services. Remember who we are dealing with here. Fly into airports N and then go into DC from N. Expect unforeseen hazards on red state routes, try to get through those early and around to blue state routes from the North that they can't possibly shut down all of. I would NOT want to be trying to get there from the South, SW or SE, due W any time after the 4th, expect fuckery on those routes. Plan smart.
They will go to any lengths to stymie this protest. Rest assured they are planning their contingencies to do just that right now. Get ahead of them.

- Lack of porta potties and locked up, occupied restrooms, water fountains coopted or locked.
Essentially everything they did by way of cheating on Nov 3 and then some. Be sneaky and creative to figure out ways we can be thwarted and share solutions away from social media.
Make alternate routes, accommodations, be well-supplied, consider contingencies for nearby overflow rallies if there is no way possible to get anywhere near DC. IFF there is no way possible to approach DC, then where are the likely nearby towns to gather for overflow?
Final consideration, this will be the most lied about event in history, there will be thousands of fake "white supremacists" Nazis etc. Alphabet loves to bust things this because there is no risk for them compared to the criminals they coddle daily.
