This is probably my last post. It’s been a hell of a ride since I joined The Donald 3 ½ years ago as a memester, now all I got left is my vote. For my son, my husband and my country-- TRUMP 2020

This sweet and sour minced meat dish has many variations. I tried to get in as many GOYA foods as possible; you shouldn’t have a problem finding them if you live in a blue state. I wouldn’t keep buying these products if they didn’t deliver what they promised--affordable, tasty food that MAGA. My family would mutiny otherwise.

Shell Oil GOYA CUBAN PICADILLO

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 45 minutes

Total Time: 50 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

Ground beef 1Lb

Yellow onion chopped 1 cup

Green pepper chopped 1 cup

GOYA minced garlic 1 teaspoon

Stewed Roma tomatoes chopped 1 cup

GOYA Tomato paste 3 tablespoons

White wine or GOYA cooking wine ¼ cup

GOYA Pimiento-stuffed green olives, sliced ½ cup

GOYA whole Kernel Corn ½ cup

Raisins ½ cup

Bay leaves 2

GOYA Adobo ½ tablespoon

Oregano ½ teaspoon

Sugar ½ teaspoon

Cinnamon ¼ teaspoon

GOYA Olive oil 3 tablespoons

GOYA red pimientos (garnish)

GOYA Jasmine Rice (cook as directed)

Instructions: Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large iron skillet at medium temperature. You can use any type of skillet. I just love the iron one. Sauté onions and peppers until tender, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, cook 1 minute. Add remaining tablespoon of olive oil and set heat to medium-high, sprinkle ground beef with Adobo and cook until browned. Add wine and bay leaves. Set temperature to low, add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 15 minutes uncovered. Traditionally, picadillo is served with white rice, and it’s great. I sprinkle mine with cilantro. I also culturally appropriated the dish a few times as egg roll filling, pizza topping and lettuce wraps. I swear I’ll do it again.
