"Per CNN"? Where's the link? Or is this just another grifter on Twitter angling for clout?
Well if the "experts" and politicians are saying it, it simply must be true.
No because it will cause death and suffering. It's one thing to discuss this in the abstract but when people start losing family members or their friends go to prison, it's an entirely different proposition.
Which changes weren't implemented by state legislatures? States decide the time, place, and manner of elections.
He's 100% correct that the investigation into voting irregularities and election integrity needs to continue full speed ahead after Jan. 20. We can't just drop this. We will have the time to examine each issue during the 2020 meticulously. A robust, credible and well-sourced report can be used as a basis for investigations, for later Congressional hearings, for legislation, etc. A credible, well-sourced report would be a powerful source and tool for reform.
My suspicion, however, is that the fraud in 2020 was caused by the rule changes (loosened rules for absentee voting, ballot drop-off boxes, no signature verification, etc.). And I don't know how you can prove that a vote was invalid under these rules. It's like unbaking cake. Once a cake is baked, you can't isolate the ingredients but you can look at the recipe and understand why the cake turned out the way it did.
Free advertising. Thanks CBS!
There were riots in Columbia, South Carolina, and Atlanta.
Should be "database" not datbase, no?
Relax. It's part of the plan!
I like this energy. Go on the offensive.
well apparently Congress and the media don't get it.
My toilet is a more sacred place.
NewsMax is pretty terrible and has totally waffled on Trump and the election fraud. Worlds better than CNN, but still weak.
I was definitely shocked by this (although I guess I shouldn't be -- who would willingly put CNN on?). I always request that the channel be changed from CNN if I'm in a public venue and they have that trash on.
Contrary opinion: I think liberals will stop trying to get Trump after he's out of power (unless he continues to be a player and sets up a 2024 run). They're obsessed with power and all they care about is control. They will follow the next shiny object. I remember when GWB was president, there were endless marches. They were calling him a Nazi. Michael Moore had his documentaries that every liberal watched. There were endless media assaults (not nearly on the level of Trump though). And now, that GWB is out of power, he's portrayed as this gentle, helpless hobbyist painter. Liberals only value power. Once you're not an obstacle to their power grab, they will set their crosshairs on the next obstacle. They want complete and total control, total power.
Tom Rice hasn't put anything up on his site or social media about his vote to impeach Trump. His name needs to be remembered and he needs to be primaried. South Carolina is not a blue state.
These worthless clowns have turned the impeachment process into a meaningless weapon to score political points. There's nothing "historical" about a process that has been cheapened into meaninglessness. Who cares?
Democrats ALWAYS vote in lockstep. Their judicial nominations are NEVER "swing votes." They ALWAYS stick to their agenda and are NEVER held accountable by the media, which calls a liberal RINO a "moderate." It's the way it's always been.
You advocate for breaking the law? I'm not an anarchist.
If only the feds would go after the election fraudsters as hard as the people who were in the Capitol.
Everyone knows our election system is a joke. No voter ID. Ballot harvesting is permitted in some jurisdictions. No signature match. Absentee ballots are sent out unsolicited. Voters are allowed to "cure" their ballot AFTER the election. There is an absurd length of time to submit a ballot (it can be received AFTER election day in some places). It's just a total unreliable, non-credible joke.
And even with this arrest (and hopefully robust prosecution), liberals will bleat on and on and on about how voter fraud isn't "widespread" or that it's "isolated." It's just a sick joke.
Here are the 10 House Republicans who voted for impeachment:
Representative John Katko of New York, who said not impeaching would be “a direct threat to the future of our democracy,” he said. We're a representative republic, not a democracy. Total fool.
Representative Liz Cheney of Wyoming, who called the Capitol Building "the most sacred space in our Republic.” Yes, more "sacred" than any church or other place of worship. Ridiculous.
Representative Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, who claimed Trump “encouraged an angry mob to storm the United States Capitol to stop the counting of electoral votes.” Where did Trump "encourage" an "angry mob"? He told people to peacefully protest and then ordered people inside the Capitol to disburse. What a clown.
Representative Fred Upton of Michigan who claimed Trump “expressed no regrets” for the people who got inside the Capitol. Why should he? He told people to be peaceful and some weren't. Why should Trump "regret" the actions of those who disobeyed his request?
Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler of Washington State issued a statement that said, “The president’s offenses, in my reading of the Constitution, were impeachable based on the indisputable evidence we already have.” What indisputable evidence? A speech protected by the 1st Amendment? He didn't incite a riot. He told people to protest peacefully. What person who incites a riot tells people to go home?
Representative Dan Newhouse of Washington, who criticized himself and other Republicans for “not speaking out sooner." Speaking out against free speech? What?
Representative Peter Meijer of Michigan said Trump “betrayed his oath of office by seeking to undermine our constitutional process, and he bears responsibility for inciting the insurrection we suffered last week.” Again, totally ridiculous. He did not incite an insurrection. He told people to peacefully protest and then told them to go home.
Representative Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio said Mike Pence and other politicians “had their lives put in grave danger as a result of the president’s actions.” Gonzalez also said, “When I consider the full scope of events leading up to Jan. 6 including the president’s lack of response as the United States Capitol was under attack, I am compelled to support impeachment.” His lack of response? He told people to go home and ordered in the National Guard. Do the lies ever stop? Are we supposed to be gullible to believe this?
A couple others -- Representatives Tom Rice of South Carolina and David Valadao of California -- also voted for impeachment. I'm not familiar with either of them but if you're from South Carolina and you voted for impeachment, your ass is going to primaried.
Obviously, it would be foolhardy to instigate violence. Trump has tried just about every legal, administrative, and procedural method to challenge the result of an election that had outrageously loose verification rules (ballot harvesting, ballot dropboxes, no voter ID, no signature verification, loosened ballot curing rules, etc.). The result of the election has no credibility (to all but the partisan or the most credulous and slack-jawed among us), but instigating violence and breaking the law is foolish, reckless, and simply ill-advised. Trump is telling people not to break the law. We're not BLM. We're not antifa. We're the law and order party and we're better than that.
He's saying don't break the law. We're the law and order party (which includes lawful elections, which didn't happen btw).
You can be lawful and orderly without being quiet. One doesn't negate the other.
Oh yeah, you're absolutely right. Pennsylvania was probably the worst offender with all of its election procedure changes in the runup to 2020. Georgia is a close runner up.
The judicial dismissals based on 'standing' were ridiculous. What entity other than a campaign would have standing? Especially when the damage has already been done.
If a case was brought prior to the election, the court would have smeared the claims as "speculative" and that there was no "injury in fact." Total horse crap.
