Some people argue that removing section 230 would actually hurt free speech on the internet. Imagine Twitter being sued because of disinformation or some shit like that. They would have to terminate Trump's twitter account to prevent that. Smaller websites like thedonald.win could be sued into oblivion by political enemies, for example because of defamation of Democrat politicians. Also, many liberals and Democrats incuding Joe Biden support the termination of section 230, possibly because they want to curb the spread of so-called hate speech.
But I don't know much about the topic, so what's your stance on this issue? Am I missing something or is it not very wise to remove section 230?
