This seems like a good place to drop this: Abolish DC. Decentralize the bureaucracies to the 50 States. Give the swamp (literally) back to VA and MD. Won't do much to "cure" corruption, but why should the richest counties in the USA be clustered around the cesspool that is DC? Re-distribute the FedGov largesse. Make it harder for lobyists to get their hands around the throat of FedGov.
Also, repeal the 17th. The Constitution can never work as designed until the StateGov is restored as a represented constituency at the FedGov bargaining table.
