At the doc for a follow up from about 2 weeks back. Have to wear the mask to get in but of course I don’t actually wear it. Wasn’t an issue last time or even really this time until the new black nurse starts in on me. Keep in mind I’ve checked in with three other people who’ve said nothing. Only this retard and only when we’re in the exam room. I politely tell her no thanks and she proceeds to make an issue out of it. A different nurse, the same I had a few weeks back comes in and it business as usual. Doc comes in and proceeds to play the emotional angle how he lost a friend and I should wear it properly for everyone’s safety. I mention it goes against his oath and again plays the “think of everyone else” shit. He’s a good guy, I like him but he’s in a commercial practice. I ask if it’s ok to deny a patient medical care because of a POSSIBILITY not a CERTAINTY and he kinda short circuited for sec. We went back and forth for a few minutes, he was visibly nervous when I mentioned racial discrimination on the part of the black nurse. It’s ends with him not caring about the mask at all and more about him not losing his job and how they’re losing good help everyday to attrition, not the virus. So I agree to play the game for him for as little time as possible cause I actually ended up feeling pity for him. But it only proved to me in no uncertain terms that’s its division and fear driven lunacy being perpetuated by low iq second rate employees who never had power on their lives before. And they won’t let it go without a fight.
