They have not locked down the whole country, no. Just London. I think they are too scared to do that now because of how the first lockdown ended in the Summer. People just chose to go outside and the government were basically forced to "end" the lockdown to avoid looking like they are powerless. They then waited until winter when everyone is inside most of the day anyway to announce small, local lockdowns that only ended up closing small business instead of people being forced to stay indoors.
Yeah they have caused problems, that's not my point though really. Yeah we have an extremist problem but that has sort of took a back burner since covid. All your problems, such as this race bullshit and the ever constant battle for freedom have been exaggerated since covid.
