Enlisted includes wordage about obeying those appointed over you. Officers swear only to the constitution.
But yeah, just another thing that used to mean something.
Spez: Found a good summation:
Both officers and enlisted service members swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, but in the Oath of Enlistment, service members swear they will “obey the orders of the president of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over [them], according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.”
Just as an aside regarding the Berlin wall. A lot of people misunderstand what that wall was. It was not a walled border separating east and west Germany. Berlin itself was deep in east Germany but the US and allies controlled the "free" sectors. The berlin wall ENCIRCLED the allied portions of berlin with the hope of strangling and isolating them.
Spez: sorry if the format is off, on mobile.
Spez spez: fun fact, the commies called it "The anti-facist rampart."
Just don't forget, he's selling your ass out as much as he can in the hopes he will be rewarded with "his turn".
And they might give it to him, just to return things to "normal". (both sides controlled by the aristocracy.)
You need to rethink "independents" in this climate. Right now a good chunk of independent = someone who wants to deny as much information as possible so that they have a harder time "predicting and correcting" the vote.
Many of us also refuse to mail in our vote.
They all want to be Bezos whose scam subscription service was not only a undeserved hit, but was the first of it's kind with no competition.
I seriously think that if it wasn't for that plus people not cancelling those initial subscriptions (turning into free money) that allowed them to dominate the market so hard anyway.
