EOs only apply to federal officials under the executive branch and DC is under the jurisdiction of the Congress (legislative branch) so idk if it's possible to do anything about that with an EO
I don't doubt that there's plenty of overlap, Im just saying the 45m being spent on the lobbying is not taxpayer money. The taxpayer money is spent on killing babies
Communism isn't an economic system. It's a synonym for Totalitarianism
This is why I tell people I have no issue with the principles of socialism, but rather the enforcement of it at a federal level. I'm actually fairly leftist when it comes to local politics where I have a stronger degree of representation and community is like minded so I don't have to worry about it going towards a giant welfare system. Im happy to vote in favor of using LOCAL taxes for a community greenway that I do not have the resources to build on my own. Trying to play that game at the federal/state level is impossible.
Got it thanks.
Struggling to understand what you're saying there, I think I just need some afternoon coffee or something. Are you saying 3% was the percentage of colonists supporting it or actually taking up arms
I'm glad to hear that. Like I get that there's tons of fuckery behind the scenes and that tons of stuff is easy to cover up, so implying such is happening is healthy skepticism of the system IMO. But I get so tired of seeing posts on here that are easily verified as incorrect. It alienates normies who arent fully redpilled yet and it makes our arguments much weaker when people then quote those things
$45,000,000 of your tax money going right back to supporting Democrat candidates
The article you linked says the opposite of this. I don't doubt there may be some financial fuckery behind the scenes, but the organization spending 45m on politics is financially separate from the organization that receives taxpayer dollars. So "on paper" the taxpayer money is not part of this 45m.
Either way, how spending taxpayer money to support the killing of babies became the norm is beyond me
You're right, which is why I even said in my first comment that I don't disagree they may have done something illegal, I just questioned the claim that the org openly made a political contribution as the other poster implied. Idk why I would get downvoted for asking for a source on a claim that seemed dubious
That's fair. I agree that a lot of "fact checking" is biased but that's why I try to treat them as aggregates of sources more than anything else (same with wikipedia). Which is also why I questioned your claim, even though the fact checker I looked at probably had an agenda, it made a compelling argument that I was able to verify with other sources
But it doesnt have anything to do with carbon foot prints
For me it's a little of both. I don't care about calculating my carbon output overall, that seems asinine. I do however keep in mind that everything I throw away doesn't just disappear. I try to maintain my lifestyle in a way that if my waste disposal service all of a sudden stopped I wouldn't be sitting in a pile of trash.
Beyond that, the economics and just plain convenience of not having to buy new shit all the time has encouraged me to buy stuff that lasts.
This doesn't sound correct, you got a source? Pretty sure they are a 501c and that's completely illegal for them to do. I'm not saying they aren't somehow complicit in some illegal contributions, just saying they didn't openly donate and people didn't respond to it how you described
Exactly, I'm pretty supportive of people that want to reduce their waste and pollute less because hey, I like the great outdoors, but carbon neutral is a pipe dream. And not the hunter kind
What are the other 6 minutes for? You ain't gotta cuddle with an escort
You got a source I can show normies?
And some of us that do
remove government regulations impeding commerce
What about foreign trade?
TBF they defended themselves from the British troops invading their homeland when they declared independence. Also they were taxed on a hell of a lot more than tea and the quartering act was a real bitch too
I've seen this quoted a lot, was that percentage of colonists that actually took up arms?
I mean bernie does agree with trump sometimes when it comes to foreign trade at least
And its because she's still new enough to congress that she's trying to fix issues not grifting like the career politicians
Weed is bad for a developing brain, much like any inebriating substance. Its fine for a grown ass adult, and like most things, is fine in moderation especially if you maintain an otherwise healthy lifestyle. It turns people into a cabbage and saps their motivation if they don't already have goals and aspirations, the same people that get high and watch 10 hours of Netflix were gonna sit around and watch 10 hours of Netflix anyway
They are civilians, just like us.
No they aren't. They are absolutely human beings and should be given the general courtesy that you would give anyone but they are NOT civilians just like us. Their position of authority gives them special privileges and rights that we do not get. Calling them "civilian" just nullifies the definition of "civilian"
Seems easy to make that more user friendly, but alas I'm not out here building an app like this for others
Does your wife sew?
I sew, does that count?
I mean, I can see how working a job where you're just an ass in a seat or something like fast food (that I would consider a disservice to a community) would probably not instill a sense of pride of fulfillment. But I would still feel more of a sense of pride and fulfillment doing that than sitting on my ass telling the government to give me money
