It's tough. I spent a lot of my teenage years into my early 20s being terrified of coming out. And now that I've been out for a while, like hell am I going to hide who I am and what I beleive - even if it means creating a rift with my family.
My sister, in particular, creates such a tension around her that God-forbid you say anything about how stupid masks and lockdowns are - she'll lose her shit. We've had a lot of fights about politics and COVID and it's too much for me some times.
We're all in the same boat, but as others have said, we're united in our love for our country, for freedom, our president, and for our fellow human beings.
