I think it is hard for him to do much when he has literally every single establishment politician from both parties conspiring against him.
It's also possible he is trying to lie low and be diplomatic for now because of the impeachment bullshit.
Solid advice. You should make this its own post.
I know so many people who need to see this.
Gee, who could have possibly guessed that would be the consequence of the GOP stonewalling the best president we've ever had on immigration and terrorism? Good job. Your response is the only appropriate response.
Anyone who didn’t already see that he clearly is impaired deserves to be shamelessly mocked.
If you don’t want the vaccine I totally support your right to refuse it. In the case you mention, though, I really don’t think the guy got it from the vaccine. It takes about two weeks to build up an immune response to the vaccine, so even after you get it, you’re not protected right away. That guy was just unlucky enough to get exposed Covid right around the same time he got the vaccine. Sucks but unfortunately it’s bound to happen to some people with Covid still going around.
I accepted the COVID vaccine, but that’s because I work in a high risk occupation (health care) and I know a few healthy young people who had “mild” cases of Covid that were still totally miserable. I don’t think anyone should be pressured or forced to accept ANY vaccine if they don’t want it. Even though I personally feel taking the measles vaccine or the flu shot is a good decision for most people, I respect everyone’s rights to make their own decisions. If you feel more comfortable taking your chances with Covid than with a vaccine, then that’s your choice.
Start participating in local politics. Run for school board or something. Network with the Republican politicians from your area.
It's not blacks vs. whites. I would rather have an intelligent, hardworking black patriot on my side than a dumbass white liberal shrieking about how capitalism has failed because nobody wants to hire someone who doesn't know what gender they are.
No shit. If you had a problem with that maybe you should have supported the one President taking immigration reform seriously.
It sure is weird how they always want to romanticize these garbage people but never talk about the victims, isn't it?
The sad thing is that there are a lot morons out there who don't know enough about history to realize that this is literally the equivalent of hanging a portrait of Hitler in your home. Mao is LITERALLY the worst genocidal dictator of known history.
Yep. While most of them are indeed very enthusiastic about killing fetuses, it's the critical race theory bullshit that is their main obsession these days.
Yes, you are right. This actually is how people who de-program cult members do it. You can’t TELL them they’re wrong. They are programmed to shut down when people try to attack their views. You have to ask questions to get them to see for themselves it makes no sense. Solid advice, pede!
I think the simplest explanation is usually correct and that Pence turned his back on Trump because he wanted Trump out. However, I’d LOVE to be wrong about that.
This is why I am pretty certain the lawsuits won’t go anywhere.
If you can find a way to start going to political events for like minded people in your community, do volunteer work, or go to church (if that is something you believe in), you would probably be able to make some more friends. That's one way to start.
Same. He is more liberal than I am, but he is sincere in opposing authoritarianism. I respect that he can call out people on the left as well as those on the right. Sad that very few other journalists are like him.
I remember the feeling of disappointment I felt when it became clear that Mitt was going to be the Republican candidate back in the day. At the time, many of us thought he was the least bad option, but there was no enthusiasm for him. Trump was exciting to vote for and support. A true once in a generation leader.
To be fair, though, I doubt most Democrats honestly wanted the "dream team" they ended up with. It was basically forced on them. The Republicans are probably just hoping they can force us to accept some shitty combination of Jeb, Mitt, Pence, or Ryan once again next time.
Trump generated enthusiasm for the Republicans that they haven't seen since Reagan, and reached voters that normally don't like Republicans. They could have done so much with that potential, but they chose to spit in our faces instead. Establishment Republicans seem to enjoy losing.
I have been a lifelong Republican, but if the Republicans help impeach Trump over this, then I am done with them. I will write in Trump for every election for the rest of my life.
Make sure you communicate to them WHY you are done with them.
It does seem very weird to me that he would just give up considering that in his speech on the 6th he was very clear that he wasn't going to concede, even though he must have known even then that Pence was not a sure thing. The way Pompeo has been acting seems really strange if they were actually planning to just give up.
I don't have any rational reason to think there is still hope, but just a feeling that something doesn't add up here. It seems to me like there may be a reason they are trying to fake everyone out. However, I am not confident at all.
Man, I am sorry that you are dealign with that. That's not right. My husband is much more liberal than I am, but we don't taunt each other about election outcomes knowing the other one is sad about it. You need better friends.
Yup. This is the problem. The racist people think everyone else is just as racist as they are. I believe you, white liberals, when you tell me you are racist as fuck. Where we have a problem is that you assume I agree with you. Many of us actually did learn as children not to judge others by skin color believe it or not.
