You keep saying "what about the mistakes" where I'm talking about the cases where there was unambiguously no mistake. That's what the word "know" means.
An example would be those shitbird libs who were assaulting people at rallies and were caught on video from multiple angles. They still get a trial to preserve the legal system, but they're fucking guilty of what everyone with a pair of functioning eyes who can watch a video saw them do, well before the judge bangs a gavel.
Signing up to defend someone for this (likely on a technicality, like the police didn't say the "you have the right to remain silent" spiel right or something) makes you a shitty person. You know they are guilty because you literally watched them do the thing they were accused of, and you try to excuse them from the consequences of their behavior on a procedural technicality rather then them actually not doing the thing they were accused of. That is immoral.
What part of "that is a legal standard and not a belief that individuals are required to have" don't you understand?
It was a warning, that racism is going to make a nasty comeback if this shit doesn't stop.
Quite honestly I think there's a difference between defending someone where there is a reasonable doubt and defending someone you know is guilty as sin. The latter is immoral, even if it has a legal purpose.
It's still too soon. Something like that, if used, needs to be fresh on the minds of voters when they go to the polls. 4 months is plenty of time for it to pass out of people's memory.
IMPRESSIVE LENGTH
Freedom, individual responsibility, and so forth. All a bunch of outdated twaddle in the current year.
Pokemon Go to the gulag
Cry me a river you little bitch. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
Not-evil party
the only optics out there are murder and destruction from the left,
American fucking lives > optics. The moral imperative is that you may never commit evil even in service of preventing a worse evil or in service of a greater good.
Having the ability and responsibility to act, and choosing not to, is rotten. And quite honestly, I am not convinced for a hot minute that the NG busting some communist heads is something moderates have a problem with. Moderates know communism is a failed ideology with a history of death and failure going back a long time. They may not be viscerally disgusted by it the way conservatives are, but they know it's trash. Anyone deferring to communism is, by definition, not a moderate.
The media will paint everything our President does in the most vile terms imaginable. That is not an excuse for doing nothing.
When that idea is communism? You bet your ass I do. Commies get helicopter rides.
It'll be the "because you would be in jail" mic drop times a thousand
The leftist mayor prevented that, and our President couldn't intervene because the media would paint him as a dictator for it.
This is what I mean by "muh optics". The media already paints him as a racist sexist nazi who kills puppies in his spare time. They've spent the entirety of the last 4 years with the outrage machine set on "11". There is no 12.
Their opinion is no longer worth caring about, if it ever even was. What are they gonna do, invent more falsehoods out of whole cloth? Throw one more fabricated narrative into the russia-pussygrab-impeach-emoluments-covid rotation?
This next term needs to be gloves fucking off. I'm going to be very disappointed if it isn't.
I'd put money on Biden getting #cancelled because his senile brain fucks up and says something horribly racist.
Oh, wait, that already happened.
The demand for the permit put the city in a bind. They can't issue it and allow Americans into the zone. They can't deny the permit to Americans because of the Constitution.
BS. The first amendment is not absolute, and violently taking over multiple city blocks and shooting people who you don't like the look of with your own private security force is not a legitimate "petition to the government to address grievances".
"All enemies foreign and domestic".
This is somewhat ban bait here, but fuck it, check my comment history if you think I'm a troll, I'm saying my peace:
There are multiple people who are at fault for allowing this communist takeover to continue, and it includes the mayor, it includes the governor, it includes the police, but it includes the person who made noises about using the national guard for their intended purpose and then chose not to because muh optics. I'm willing to put up with a lot of shit in defense of some greater plan, but I draw the line at communists murdering Americans without consequence. The fact that these people weren't rounded up and/or shot after that killing took place is a black mark on this country - we cucked out to commies.
Multiple people are dead as a result of letting this continue. This isn't a motherfucking game. The only thing these losers understand is force.
Most cults do have religious status. Those crazy people that pass live venomous snakes around? Scientology? The moonies? All religions. The government isn't supposed to be in the game of determining what is and isn't a religion - down that path lay dragons.
Probably not a very popular opinion, but "separation of church and state" is not a law. The closest thing is "congress shall make no law concerning an establishment of religion".
By picking and choosing whether schools can receive funds based on their religious content (and via an unconstitutional Montana law that was explicitly created to shit on Catholics), this, the first amendment's explicit freedom of religion, and the equal protection clause, are all violated.
Yes, this means muslims too. Islam is a religion and the first amendment applies to it. I'm all for sending the muzzles packing, but not enough to violate the constitution in the process.
MFA via text/call is insecure as hell. Cloning someone's phone number is not all that difficult.
Okay, so we have one wildcard. Meanwhile, we're likely to be rid of RBG once Trump gets his second term, and quite possibly another.
It's to the left of your "A" key, btw.
Ya boi can't even get things right when they're on notes right in front of him. His debate performance is gonna be lolworthy.
Everyday people.
Facts, which exist with or without a legal ceremony.
Neither is the legal system. It has condemned men to die falsely. It has also allowed injustices to go unaddressed in the name of procedural purity.
You don't need to be omnipotent to judge the facts of a case like this.
