I've traveled extensively and seen Nepalese businessmen emerge from buildings made from scraps, looking awesome in their suit and tie and polished shoes. And those dwellings looked awesome too, even the dirt floors are swept and the streets are clean and paved.
I've seen Tibetans in Lhasa who have nothing, yet their communities were safe, clean and beautiful... and I've also worked for the New York Police Department where every black we arrested for stealing designer clothing or candy or beer, had a $1000 smartphone in his pants.

I'm not sure what it's like in Europe, but here in the US, I believe fixing this horrific social disaster would solve much of the racial division.
