Thank you so much for the support, pede! I sent a last round of emails yesterday to see if anyone might be interested in supporting the project. If I get no replies within the week I will ask other pedes to see if anyone wants to take over the channels so it all won't go to waste.
The resolution process is quite simple. I make a 720p copy and a 480p copy, which only takes around 3 extra minutes to render. Most of the sites themselves then process the videos into different sizes. The fact the 720p copies are published first is just because those sites publish the videos way faster than the rest, but all the copies 720p and 480p are uploaded at the same time. Brighteon's copy is uploaded in 720p but they resize it to 540p.
UGETube and video.nobodyhasthe.biz are the fastest, then bittube.video which takes a little more time to re-encode the video into different sizes, and then the "big" sites like BitChute and Brighteon which have a larger traffic tend to take even more time to publish the copies.
Rumble was always the slowest to publish, the slowest to review and "monetize" the videos, which you are force to do for them to show up in the searches (you won't make a single penny unless you have hundreds of thousands of views) and despite of uploading 720p copies it would reduced them to 480p anyways. Not to mention they deleted my account yesterday. 😅
