My life experience has taught me one fact of which my mind will never be changed:
Leftism IS, simply and entirely, arrogant slimy hatred for everyone around you.
Leftism is not about any particular values or goals; it is solely about hating the perpetual enemies of your fabrication and doing anything you can to destroy them while furthering your own power among your peers. Without a perpetual enemy -- always nebulous and hidden, yet always an ever-present existential threat (e.g. gun owners, mask-rebels, business owners, Trump voters, white families) -- the ideology cannot exist.
Never have I met more hateful and miserable people than leftists, my God. As seen through former friends and family, their waking moments are nothing but thoughts of hatred for the aforementioned nebulous perpetual enemy(s) who is the cause of EVERY trouble in their life, AND for other leftists for not being as leftist as they are. Happiness and contentment are not things they can ever achieve because they are anathema to their mode of existence.

We have a family friend whose wife got the virus, tested positive, had symptoms, etc... he meanwhile has since tested negative multiple times despite living with her like a normal married couple does, and not doing anything different. Such a deadly virus.

I'm glad to see others who get it. Perhaps it sounds saccharine to people, but one of the biggest ways (if not THE biggest way) this evil shit succeeds is if people lose hope and optimism. Those feelings are the foundations upon which big things are built through action.
