Serious question, genuinely asking, not trolling: Are we 100% sure Pence can just send it back to the states? I tried finding a clear answer, but it's hard bc fake news. I will say Jonathan Turley said he can't because it goes against the electoral count control act, and that guy is usually pretty reasonable. Can anyone provide me a source?
Again, not trolling. Regardless, we got fucked by the judiciary refusing to hear evidence because they were afraid of REEEEEs...
How can the chambers do their job when their election was disputed??? Why does congress get sworn in before the president??? How can a corrupted body decide if their own elections were legitimate?????
Surely the checks & balances in this scenario have failed us....
Man I'm so split on whether or not Pence will meaningfully intervene.... What do you guys realistically think will happen? (Genuinely asking, not being rhetorical.)
It worries me that POTUS is tweeting this because he could be doing it to pressure an unwilling Pence... Not trying to be doomer, just a speculative observation.
Once on his podcast he referred to Romney as "perhaps the most honorable man to be a presidential nominee." ( Not 100% sure that's a verbatim quote, but it's very close.) This was around the same time the Kavanaugh bullshit was going on.
I decided to venture into the shithole that is Reddit to see what they thought about Trump's statement on the stimulus bill, and it seems that they all think MAGA = establishment Republican. It'd blow their feeble minds if they knew the truth....
Damn that's crazy...
