“Suppose we have only dreamed, or made up, all those things - Liberty and Justice and Democracy and Religious Freedom and Opportunity and Almighty God Himself. Suppose we have.

“Then all I can say is that, in that case, the made-up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones. Suppose this black pit of a kingdom of yours is the only America. Well, it strikes me as a pretty poor one.

“And that’s a funny thing, when you come to think of it. We’re just babies making up a game, if you’re right. But 80 million babies playing a game can make a play-America which licks your real America hollow.

“That’s why I’m going to stand by the play America. I’m on the Great Jehovah’s side even if there isn’t any Lord Jehovah to lead it. I’m going to live as like a true patriotic American as I can even if there isn’t any America anymore.”

Personally, I feel that the phrase 'Biden cheated' is inaccurate, for in truth, he did very little himself. What is more serious is how many people in authority willingly cheated ON BEHALF OF Biden.

It's one thing for Lance Armstrong to secretly take drugs to give himself a hidden advantage over his competitors. It's quite another if the Tour de France organisers had pumped him full of steroids, faked race footage and time stamps and then fraudulently declared to the world that he had won the competition.

In Psalm 11, the psalmist questions what the righteous can do to save themselves if the foundations of a just society have been ripped out from underneath them, and all that seems to be left are the wicked preparing to annihilate them deviously.

In response, he replies that the LORD, Jehovah, is more than able to save those who trust wholeheartedly in Him, and that He will rescue and vindicate us in the end.

The story of Hushai and Ahithophel

Video of the incident

During the life of king David, his son Absalom launched a coup against him. Things got so bad that David had to flee Jerusalem for his life. Absalom's greatest asset was his infallible adviser, Ahithophel, who was as accurate as a divine oracle.

At king David's most vulnerable point, Ahithophel correctly advised Absalom to pursue his father and crush him there and then. Wanting a second opinion, the traitorous prince turned to another adviser, Hushai the Archite.

Unfortunately for Absalom, Hushai was a loyalist whom David had secretly planted in Absalom's inner circle. Contradicting Ahithophel, Hushai advised Absalom to exercise caution and gather his forces first. Hushai knew that the delay would give David and his men time to escape and regroup.

Thanks to God's intervention, Absalom's judgment was clouded and he decided to accept Hushai's advice over Ahithophel's. Upon seeing this blunder, Ahithophel realised that the coup was doomed to failure, and promptly hanged himself.

God's people must pray that He sends Hushais into the enemy camp so that the life of His servant may be spared. Amen.

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. (Revelation 3:7-8)
