Which, for those keeping track at home, is after the EC meets, but before congress certifies.

I’m going to play devil’s advocate a bit here... The cabinet probably SHOULD be confirmed before inauguration. A new president SHOULD be able to come into office with his cabinet in place. In fact, I would be surprised if this wasn’t SOP. (It also wouldn’t surprise me if this wasn’t done for Trump, but was normal for all other president’s before him. I honestly don’t know the history here.)

With that said, it should absolutely NOT be done before the electoral votes are certified by congress in January. There is no reason to do anything before then.

FYI, I can find demographic exit polls - but not simply “so who’d ya vote for?” exit polls.

You don’t send in an aircraft carrier to cover a troop withdrawal; to withdraw troops, you simply fly them home.

You send in an aircraft carrier either as a deterrent (“don’t fuck around or you’ll find out”) or simply to fuck shit up.

Miles Dyson did nothing wrong! He didn’t know that Skynet would be the result of his life’s work, and there’s no way he could have known. Being in the Terminator universe, that means the original Terminator movie didn’t exist - he would have had no warning.

Once he DID receive warning from Sarah, John, and Arnie, he immediately nutted the fuck up and stepped up to help save the day, betraying his company and destroying his own life’s work - ultimately sacrificing his own life for the cause.

Miles Dyson was a goddamned patriot!

Just because we haven’t been violent yet, doesn’t mean we can’t or won’t be.

I’m beyond giving a flying fuck what those brainwashed smooth-brained imbeciles think.

It’s a good question. No, he wasn’t convicted - in fact, the charges were dropped! And since accepting a pardon includes admission of guilt, not sure how this will play out.

The framers of the Constitution had extensive political experience. By 1787, four-fifths of the delegates had been in the Continental Congress. Nearly all of the fifty-five delegates had experience in colonial and state government. Furthermore, the delegates practiced a wide range of high- and middle-status occupations. Many delegates pursued more than one career simultaneously. They did not differ dramatically from the Loyalists, except the delegates were generally younger in their professions.

More than half of the delegates had trained as lawyers, although only about a quarter had practiced law as their principal career. Other professions included merchants, manufacturers, shippers, land speculators, bankers or financiers, three physicians, a minister, and several small farmers.
